see I am reasonable. I just don't trust the government either side of it so im overly critical at all times about anything they try to sell us. If they come up with a plan that makes logical sense to me id reluctantly go along. Actually i wouldn't mind having national care. It could free me up to try to start a business. HOWEVER I don't want some crap snake oil.
I'm already trying to get my own business off the ground, and it's completely infeasible for me to buy private insurance the way the system is. And now Baucus proposes forcing me to buy the shitty insurance that's already out there with a subsidy that I may or may not qualify for.
The Baucus bill is DOA. The House WILL pass a bill with a public option in it, and that public option will likely be emasculated during the reconciliation process, leaving us with health reform that basically keeps them from dropping you for preexisting conditions and makes recidivism illegal. Of course, these are things we all could agree on 15 years ago, it seems to me.
