Obama authorizes assasination of U.S. citizen

Damo, I have obviously been spectacularly opposed to this. I mentioned that it made him seem even worse than Bush. I honestly don't even think Bush would have pulled this shit. Obama just seems to think he's shielded because he's a goddamn "liberal".
I agree. It isn't you that I was talking about. If Bush had pulled this every pundit on CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, et al would be jumping on him like stink on a pile of dog product. He relies on the media's wont to ignore atrocity by liberals to get away with this stuff. How many people actually know he did this? You think most of your neighbors know?

Confederates were traitors to the United States and tried to destroy the Union. If you wave a Confederate flag, you might as well burn the Stars & Stripes. If you call yourself a Confederate but not a racist traitor, then you're the one forgetting history.
You're on crack. This has nothing to do with my post.

So 'Southern Man' has no significance?

It's pure coincidence that you and 'Dixie" are buds?
Dixie's a fellow poster. We happen to agree on a lot. You won't see me sportin' a Confederate flag, but I support his right to do so.

My "Southern Man" moniker irritates you because you don't know the true history of The South.

I didn't read everything, so excuse me if this was already said, but many authoritarian states have withheld the right of citizenship from "undesirables" in order to make killing them justifiable.

I don't think we should leave it up to the government to say "Nope, we don't think this person is a citizen anymore, they don't have rights and we don't have any Constitutional constraints of due process."

Otherwise, any of us could end up not being a citizen of our own country if the country (or more specifically, the state) decides to turn against us for any reason.

I agree.

""THEY CAME FIRST for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

THEN THEY CAME for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

THEN THEY CAME for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

THEN THEY CAME for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant.

THEN THEY CAME for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up."

Anyone else see the similarity? Adam, you are absolutely right.

Just like what I've always said.
