Now...who has the guts to admit.....

It's cute you watch football with your husband. C plus for trying

Lol, he doesn't watch football. And he leaves the room when I watch because he gets annoyed when I yell at the TV over bad plays and stuff.

I know Cam's just a rookie but I gave him a vote of confidence. :)

I don't really get the "shoving it your face" thing w/ Tebow. He thanks God/Jesus before & after games, and does his pointing to the sky thing. But he's just being open about his faith; I haven't heard him be all preachy about it & tell others they have to do the same. People need to lighten up.

The guy really walks the walk, too. He meets after every game w/ kids who are struggling w/ something (like a disease) and just hangs w/ them & encourages them. He's great for the game, imo....

they claimed students have the right to pray in school ?

If this is true.....this is rock solid proof you're wrong......

http://nation.foxnews.com/tim-tebow...d-tebowing?cmpid=NL_FiredUpFoxNation_20111216

So students can pray in school if they want to......??? Really ?

Then why the suspensions....???

According to Connor Carroll, a senior at Riverhead (N.Y.) High on the North Fork of Long Island, the Riverhead administration handed out one-day suspensions to four student athletes after a group of Riverhead students decided to spontaneously hold a group Tebowing session in the school.

anyone that thinks that prayer does not exist in schools has never been at a final

now organized prayer is another thing altogether

organized prayer has been banned for some time, however, personal prayer is still permitted

You're absolutely right.....he does what he does......hes not bothering anyone....except maybe the pinheads.....
And if...IF he ever strays off the righteous path even once, the lefties will freakin' crucify him ......he'll be expected to walk the straight and narrow forever now......one minor slip up and he'll be ridiculed for weeks and labeled a hypocrite.....he can never ever ever make a mistake now that hes advertised his faith......

Bill Clinton, a married man, can whip his dick out in the Oval Office and have a young intern suck him off and hes considered cool.....Barney Frank can run homo whores out of his apartment and its overlooked......all because they don't show any faith in God......

Clinton went to Church in Washington........usually black Churches and presumably he prayed while there, yet hes no hypocrite......go figure.....

I wonder if the mocking and ridicule of Tebow would be the same if he were Muslim? If students mocked a Muslim Tebow, would they have been suspended? Or would they have more likely, won a guest appearance on The View and Good Morning America? The same morons who openly bash on Tebow, would be showing silent reverence for his religious beliefs, if he were Muslim. Anyone who complained or whined about Tebowing, would be considered a racist hater akin to Hitler. But since he is a CHRISTIAN it's different, it always is.

Since devout muslims DO NOT see their ritual prayers during the day as an opportunity to prostelyze, you are highly unlikely to see a person of the islamic faith pull a "tebow" for public display. So your hypothesis falls flat in the face of reality....because a group of students mocking muslim prayer in such a way as the school kids "tebowed" would have been given the same treatment.

You should wise up to the FACT that there is a BIG difference between christians, catholics and evangelicals as to how they practice/conduct their religious edicts in the country.

And speaking of religion....Rick Perry is just losing his mind with this latest, last ditch attempt to appeal to the fringe evangelical christian set that Reagan let into the GOP. I mean, you've currently got a President who has ANNOUNCED to the world his Catholic faith...and there is NO law that prevents ANYONE from attending the church of their choice....so WTF is Perry babbling about? C'mon Rick, buck up and deal with reality...IT'S OVER!

Cam Newton is much more of a valuable asset to a football team than that other guy who makes a show of praying. Anyone disagree?

Cam has more of the kind of talent you look for in a starting QB, and clearly, has a better arm & throwing motion.

But, Tebow is definitely determined, and has that intangible "winner" quality. People are too quick to write him off long-term. He'll work harder at his game than anyone, and will be a success in the NFL.

Im sure he will be a success in the NFL, he just does not deserve the hype, I dont really understand it. He has good PR.

Tebow is not "making a show" of praying, that would mean he's like, going into the stands and getting other people to pray with him and stuff... that ain't what is happening. What is the fucking problem if the guy wants to say a prayer? Do we no longer have real freedom of religious expression? Or maybe, we have it, just that you're going to be mocked and ridiculed unmercifully, if you do it in public?

Cam is the kind of person who is very talented and dedicated but does not really get the respect he deserves, he left Florida because they were playing Tebow over him.... Cam is the better player, he took Auburn to the National Championships singlehandedly.

I dont have a problem with the guy praying, I simply belive his motives are to exploit the people who are impressed with it. Praying can be done without such a show and when one makes a show of it I question there sincerity, especally when they gain as much from it as Tebow has, and Im not talking about spirituality.

He got hyped because he led the Broncos on a 6 game winning streak, in spectacular fashion, and into playoff contention after they had an abysmal start w/ another QB.

The hype was deserved, imo.

At least here in Florida he was hyped before that....

What the fuck do you mean, idiot.. "exploit the people who are impressed?" Last I checked, a QB on a football team doesn't rely much on exploitation of the fans to do his job... so I fail to see how this helps him much. How does he "exploit" them Jughead? By making them look at him pray? How does his praying "gain" him anything on the field? As for PR... we see what kind of ridicule and bashing he takes, is THAT the "advantage" you think he gets?

And just who the fuck are YOU to question his sincerity? Did someone die an make you the Pope or something?

I don't know that the hype is deserved. Granted, the Tebow-led Broncos are winning, but how much is Tebow, and how much is the rest of the team? Yeah, they've rallied and come from behind in the 4th quarter to win, and Tebow has done a lot to put them in the situation, but other players are making plays too. A guy from my hometown forced the fumble in the game last week, which enabled Tebow to even have a chance at winning.... how much of that was Tebow's doing?

Ha, I love to piss you off.

Here is the thing, its not about how good of a football player you are... if that were the case Cam Newton would be the one with all the hype. Its about how well you can connect with the audience, and if making a show over praying does that, your value goes up. You command more money and you get more endorsements. Im willing to bet that while Newton is clearly the better football player, Tebow will make more money over the next few years.

Its not about how talented you are, its about how much hype you can make.

I think quite a lot of it. No doubt, he wouldn't have the opportunities he has had at the end of games if his defense wasn't holding opponents to just a few scores, and if his kicker wasn't making amazing kicks. But it's very clear that he plays his best when the game is on the line, and that he has led a whole series of spectacular, game-winning drives. That's no fluke.

Beyond that, he just has "it," in the same way that a guy like Tom Brady does. He wins, and believes he is going to win. This is something that spreads through the whole team when someone at the QB position has it - the defense plays better, the kicker starts to believe, the fans start to believe. It's a real intangible.
