Now We Need To Revisit Lt. Michael Byrd

That's quite a conspiracy theory. It indicates that Pelosi and others had foreknowledge.

It is as I said, speculation. I know that Pelosi took responsibility for the riot, privately to her daughter. The video was leaked.

What she knew of orders to Byrd is unknown, no investigation of the shooting was conducted.

Random words. No apparent coherency.

Your link doesn't demonstrate that at all.

Vividly they remember the loud, hornetlike buzz of their gas masks. The explosive crack of tear gas in the hallways outside. The screams of officers telling them to stay down. The thunderous beating on the doors below. Glass shattering as the rioters punched through a window pane. The knobs rattling ominously on the locked doors just a few feet behind them.

And most indelibly, the loud clap of a gunshot, reverberating across the cavernous chamber.
“I’ve heard a lot of gunshots in my time, and it was very clear what that was,” Crow said. “I knew that things had severely escalated.”
The shot was fired by Officer Michael Byrd and killed Ashli Babbitt, a Trump supporter from California who was trying to crawl through the broken window of a door that leads to the House chamber. Both the Justice Department and Capitol Police investigated the shooting and declined to file charges.

While the gunshot dispersed some of the violent mob, the lawmakers ducking in the gallery believed the worst was just beginning.

Yes, many members of Congress were holed up in the House Chamber and facing immediate danger during the Capitol riot when Ashli Babbitt was shot. At least 60 to 80 House members and staff were trapped inside and were being evacuated by Capitol Police. The officer who shot Babbitt stated that he did so in self-defense and to protect members of Congress and others. An NBC News article stated that the officer believed both himself and the members of Congress were in danger. According to Wikipedia, the officer was trying to defend two fronts to the House Chamber and the safety of the members of Congress and staff.

Of course when no actual investigations are conducted, it's hard to be definative.

Mobthink had a hold on those folks, if Babbitt got in there were what appeared to be hundreds ready to follow. The Capital Police were ill prepared and had no less than lethal crowd control weapons on them that could deal with a mob. Mobs act differently than individuals, and not all of those people were unarmed, those breaking the glass for instance had weapons, enough to break reinforced glass which they could crack skulls with...

Did she "deserve" to die? Questionable.

Did that one shot protect lives? Unquestionably.

There were 60 Congress critters on the floor or in the balcony.

What we should be considering is better training and reactions to mobs, better and less lethal equipment. This idea that we can put this man in prison for this action, when it is clear that reasonable people may believe that lives were in danger is IMHO poor reasoning. That mob was not going to stop without some incentive, something to interrupt the mobthink... She just happened to be the first person poised to breach the barrier.

Indeed 100%
When will Bondi stage a Kangaroo court for Byrd?

That is so bullshit. Look at a map of the capitol building. Look at where Byrd was in relationship to the chamber and remember that the doors to the House floor are closed, solid core doors. Note in that narrative "gunshots." Note the plural. One round was fired by one officer that day. That's it.

All supporting the idea he was acting under orders, and was ordered to leave the scene.
He was a supervisor, a Lieutenant on the capitol police force. You'd think he'd have situational awareness and know better than leave the scene of a shooting. Something like, Shots fired (location). One suspect down. Send (help, etc.) to (location). Bryd chose--on his own volition--to leave the scene. Show me any other case where a police officer leaves the scene of a shooting, particularly the officer that did the shooting. Show me one where the officer didn't end up disciplined or fired for it.

When will Byrd be arrested and held for trial on murder as you claim? I'm hoping by next spring.

I see it completely differently. Bryd was terrified. He could have moved into the hallway and faced Babbitt and the crowd, weapon out or not. He should have known that there were several other officers present, particularly being a supervisor. I would assume he was the senior officer present which means he should have had control of the other officers and been directing the action. Instead, he acted like a line officer, had lost situational awareness, and by his own admission was scared as fuck.

He did a shit job and he should be held accountable for that.

Show me one other officer involved shooting where no investigation was conducted?

Lol no she wasn't responsible for the riot.
