I didn't say "toward" the path of evil!

That's right, you wore a different outfit.

Wrong. Because as Catholics understand his job is about spreading faith, hope and charity, not screeds against other religions.

Maybe you forgot the beating Benedict took when he talked about Muslims.

Actually, Benedict took a beating for quoting a Byzantine emperor. Basically, for citing an historical document.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.”[3] The emperor, after having expressed himself so forcefully, goes on to explain in detail the reasons why spreading the faith through violence is something unreasonable.

It's never a good thing when history is suppressed; regardless of the means used to suppress it. Currently, it's being suppressed via political correctness.

Ironically, the emperor wrote down the dialogue during a siege of Constantinople by...wait for it..the Ottomans.

You have to be pretty well educated before you can be a Pope and Francis is no exception. He no doubt knows all of this. Unfortunately, he also apparently got 'instructed' in multiculturalism somewhere along the way.

And that threatens Europe like the plague.
