As the reader can see, I'm dealing with a classic example of proud, willful ignorance and intellectual cowardice. This clown ADMITS that he doesn't read any information offered by others to support their statements. Yet he wants to debate/argue a point! That, as I was taught in high school, is akin to arguing the number of angels dancing on a pinhead! A true MAGA hat wearer, complete with blinders.

It has been alleged by multiple officials of the Obama administration, including in The Washington Post, that the president and his then-national security adviser, John Bolton, “dissolved the office” at the White House in charge of pandemic preparedness. Because I led the very directorate assigned that mission, the counterproliferation and biodefense office, for a year and then handed it off to another official who still holds the post, I know the charge is specious.

Now, I’m not naive. This is Washington. It’s an election year. Officials out of power want back into power after November. But the middle of a worldwide health emergency is not the time to be making tendentious accusations.

As for funding, there’s no question that the Trump administration sought to cut key CDC budget categories. But thanks to Congress, that funding was restored and even increased in bills that Trump ultimately signed.

I don't take that as gospel. I very much doubt that you even read the article I posted by Tim Morrison, who actually led the very directorate assigned that mission, the Counterproliferation and Biodefense Office, for a year and then handed it off to another official who still holds the post.
