That oppression thing -- lefties seem to have empathy for those who are the targets of oppression, like the ppl being brutalized by LEOs. Righties, on the other hand, don't even *see* oppression when it's right under their turned-up European noses. That is, of course, unless it's the courts telling Christians that they can't force their beliefs on the rest of us, and that they must cater to *all* customers even if their religion supposedly preaches that they can't serve this group or that group. Then it's not just oppression -- it's PERSECUTION. Yes, exactly like the Romans feeding them to the lions. But black ppl being shot by cops? Meh, just a thing.

Here's what Trump did (and rather expertly, I might add): he took an "issue" that was almost non-existent last fall, brought it back to life, and created a situation that will now self-perpetuate, and continue to provide him with a wonderful distraction to his inept leadership, and red meat to feed to his base.

Who thinks that NFL players will just accept this, and not protest en masse come September? No one? Good news - you're all correct. This will go on for a loooong time now.
