No more Kneeling for NFL

Actually baseball is considered the number one past time but the NFL is the number one sport right now. Ultimately it's not good for business and once Trump got involved, they had to deal with it. Not saying this is the right way but they had to do something

They could have just ignored everything. People have short memories.

This wasn't going away and ratings are hurting. And if you believe them they didn't want to be used as midterm rhetoric. They made a business decision. Can definitely be debated if it was the right one but players weren't going to stop kneeling

you are a liar

Anecdote Alert!

I have been a professional investigator (in various capacities) for most of my adult life. I can't tell you how many veterans inflate their military experience.

My father was the "commander" of a small town VFW organization. On a few occasions, he asked me to investigate, informally, the claims of members of his local organization.

One was an Army cook. Another poured concrete and built and maintained runways. The third was a file clerk.

The first amendment is about government not talking away your right to speech. It doesn't say your employer can't do that. Most of us don't work in jobs where millions are watching of course but NFL players are free to work elsewhere if they don't like the rule.

Your employer can take away your right to speech if it involves something like trashing the company, for instance. But ordering you to do something like this is, IMO, beyond the pale. What next, they going to tell you how to vote?

New segregated leagues must be formed. One white, one people of color. At the end of the year they would play each other in the Racial Bowl. Which one would you bet on?

It isn't really that uncommon for people to have to conform to certain standards while on the job. Many places require uniforms, so the people on the job do not have the freedom to wear their own choice of clothing during the time they are on the job. Many places prohibit foul language while at work. The freedom still exists, just not at work. There is always the freedom to work somewhere else...

^ Those standards have nothing to do with government. This is a private organization telling people how they have to act toward a symbol.

No one can ever tell you how to vote unless they follow you into the booth which I believe is illegal. Whether one agrees with the protests or not it has hurt the NFL business wise. You can argue the NFL should be more socially active but a lot of businesses aren't going to put up with employees that cost the business money. That's what has happened here.

Trashing the country is uglier than trashing a company.

Btw, This kneeling thing is over now, your side lost like Hillary lost her campaign.

Why is trump trashing the federal law enforcement agencies? What is he afraid of? Rudy recently ansered that question by saying, in effect, that trump is guilty and won't testify about it because he is a pathological liar. 1984
