No more Kneeling for NFL

"They" better not be Burning any Stakes on the Grill

I don't know, but we "hillbillies" won't be. Our steaks come from local farmers and butchers and grilled by some pretty damn good "chefs," even the drunk ones ;)

I can't wait ... finally some good weather

Yes, but our's is ending on Sunday, so I'm enjoying what we have. Took the Cobra on a nice long cruise on the country back roads and stopped for a milkshake at a rural ice cream drive-in last evening. It was relaxing, but the GF still has trouble getting in and out of it.

Putting in a new Chromed Alternator on Saturday ... before my Tee Time.

Debating on going to a car show Sat. It's about 1 1/2 hrs. away on a heavily traveled highway to get there and I haven't heard back from the other guys if they're going.
Hell, I might just stay home and mow grass. We'll see.

I'm getting the Grass Mowing out of the way today.

Mine isn't that high, but it might be tomorrow, it's growing fast with all this rain and the nice day yesterday and today. I'll get it done by Sun. though.

When the anthem is played, and the flag is raised, people, no matter where they are, should stand and honor both.
Of course a person has the right to not do either, but if they are not showing the proper respect to our nation's great symbol of freedom, they're disrespecting those who have sacrificed so much for the very freedom they have to protest...
Stay in the locker room, guys and gals if you feel the need. The majority of Americans will be standing tall, hats off, hand over their heart and singing loud and proud...

I call bullshit.

Jerks like you don't realize that "protesting" is a part of the fabric of America.

I respect all of our military-that's why I feel the proper respect should be shown for the flag and the anthem... I don't hesitate to remind people at events, btw... To stand, to remove their hat, to be quiet if they aren't going to sing..;)
That being said...
Why is it so impossible to have a reasonable discussion with you? You just can't see to find a way to reply with out overreacting and completely twisting whatever I post...
Why is that?
(I'm sure your thanking, lurking mentor will answer for you as is the norm, but I'd like to hear from you...)

Absolutely false considering Kap got his advice to kneel from a soldier. You can thank a soldier for NFL players kneeling.

Will you?

Nobody twists what you say, you just twist what you meant after the fact.

I say this issue will be twice as bad during this season as it was during the last one.

The "repair" is worse...MUCH WORSE...than the problem they were attempting to repair.

I call bullshit.

And you're entitled to your opinion. As are the ones who want to continue to protest. They're just not going to be able to kneel during the anthem and presentation of the flag...a special moment...I will be particularly happy that this more than likely means the end of that kind of "protest" at games and events where children are participating...
I'll be particularly happy to see no more "taking a knee" at games where children are the participants...

Wrong again, pally boy. They can take a knee and get fined. And the team pays the fine. How about them apples?

LOL!

Toxic Top the Tory feels entitled to demand that others do exactly what she insists upon. For instance, back during the SSM debate, she insisted that gay couples could not use the word "marriage" to describe their unions because that word only belongs to straights. She did condescendingly allow them to use the word "pairrage" that she claimed to have created. Black players are not allowed to kneel before games. Oprah needs to sit down and shut up. Parkland shooting survivors need to crack some books and shut their damn mouths. Their parents need to stop "using" them. Etc.
