She gave up on Christianity a long time ago.

She had to give up her Christianity and become a Jew to marry into big money.

And to her it was worth it.

What was Christianity doing for her anyway?

So that's it.

She is no longer a Christian, has no reason to celebrate Christmas.

And the kids aren't Christians, either.

Just another day at the Kushner house.

Maybe get some Chinese take-out.

This is cringey PT, I'm atheist and I still celebrate Christmas, you know, just the parts that actually exist like being with family and gift giving. She and anyone else can celebrate anything they want for all I care.

I have no problems with Jews and Chinese food. Before Trump fucked up the COVID response, my wife would spend Sunday afternoons at a Chinese buffet and Thrift store shopping.

I'm just like you. I'm atheist and celebrate Christmas. I want it all. I believe what I want to believe and I like the gift giving, the family and friends gathering, the whole crass capitalist market thing. Why pretend it has anything to do with religion? Capitalism has taken it over from religion. The religious can certainly do their own thing, but we know what it's really about. Sell a lot of stuff, buy a lot of stuff, give a lot of stuff. Sing some songs, have some traditions, parties, the decorations, the lights. Not a bit of that has to have anything to do with religion. And it's a holiday from work. It's great. What's not to like? Christmas can mean whatever you want it to.

And maybe Ivanka still celebrates it. I don't know. I'm just guessing. But she did give up Christianity. Usually when strongly religious Jewish men particularly marry non Jewish women, they frequently require the woman to convert to Judaism. That is not often taken lightly and is not usually done just for the wedding. The Synagogue wants it to be a lifetime commitment.

But of course, we know Ivanka has the worst possible role model of a father, so it is not inconceivable that she would simply go through the motions, say the words, whatever, just to get to the part about being married to really big money. Trumps do what it takes to get the money. It's always about the money. And we know one of her biggest concerns is going to be the money.

The Trump and Reagan families are the closest this nation has ever come to having an atheist first family.

Nothing about the Trumps strike me as particularly religious or spiritual.
