Jesus H. Christ, Man. Originally you wrote: "Christians were not to blame for the status quo of State and prehistoric endorsed slavery, in which it originated. The Jews were already under Roman military occupation, and open opposition to slavery would have meant immediate execution."
The reason the Jews of that time did not speak out against slavery was not because of the military occupation or the possibility of immediate execution...
...IT WAS BECAUSE THE GOD THEY WORSHIPED TOLD THEM IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH OWNING, BUYING, SELLING, OR HOLDING SLAVES!
Now stop with bullshit on this item, Dog.
Okay...and I am sure there were many who "loved" their slaves.
But that has nothing to do with the fact that the god of those Jews...THE GOD JESUS WORSHIPED...gave them permission to own, sell, buy, trade in slaves.
Why on Earth are you trying to negate what is written very clearly in that Bible of yours?
Show me one passage in that Bible that directly says, "Slavery is wrong" or "You should not hold anyone in slavery."
ANYWHERE IN THAT BIBLE.
