Nikki Haley doesn't fit into a category of being 20 - 30 years old.

Christians were not to blame for the status quo of State (and prehistoric kings) endorsed slavery, in which it originated. The Jews were already under Roman military occupation, and open opposition to slavery would have meant immediate execution.

Paul said (I'm paraphrasing) don't engage in a violent slave revolt. Win your freedom by your Christian character. Wise advice considering what happened to Spartacus a few hundred years earlier.

As Alveda King said, the most dangerous place for an African American is in the womb.

Paul said nothing of the sort, which probably is why you "paraphrased."

In the Epistle, Philemon, Paul returns a slave (Onesimus) to his master (Philemon) and tells Philemon that although he (Paul) feels he has the right to command Philemon to free Onesimus, he would not do that, but would instead appeal to Philemon to do it on his own.

Stay away from that paraphrasing. St. Paul did NOT condemn slavery in any way.
