Nice when a conservative faces the truth,

But I don't see you offering any content to question what the conservative is saying

what french wants trump to do is work to unseat ryan and mcconnell. Basically its a democrats wet dream as republicans would get nothing done but be at each others throats. Im beggining to wonder how he got his writing job.

His point is that Trump, and especially his followers, held nothing but disdain for both individuals on the campaign, but now he has a bromance with both, so where does that leave his followers he encouraged to to view them negatively?

What truth? Quote the article, your thread makes no sense.

It"s simple, click on the website and read, it's only five or six paragraphs long, and keep in mind it is a conservative authoring the article in a conservative vehicle

A relevant quotation is not a bad idea. It need not be encyclopedic. A single sentence that makes a comprehensible statement.

It’s almost as if Trump said what he needed to say to win election, without regard for the truth or the consequences. Imagine that!

The question is .. Who could be possibly be dumb enough not to see this coming.

He's already said to them, "I don't need your votes anymore."

I have some thoughts on this. I don't think French is facing the truth, I think he's trying to warp the truth to fit his world view. I think he's been stung because he realizes that Trump's election was just as much a repudiation of people like him, establishment GOP types, as it was of progressive policy or rejection of Hillary Clinton and he's trying to make himself look better by playing an I Told You So game here.

He talks about Trump supporters. I know a few people who believed Trump would do exactly what he said he would but most didn't, they didn't vote for Trump they voted anti-establishment but French seems to be saying all Trump supporters drank some kool-aid. They didn't, they had a clear choice and made it and French lost.

Tillerson. Tillerson has global experience, French makes that sound like a bad thing. It's not. We used to "draft" private sector experts into these high-level jobs but lately we've seen political hacks being appointed. I'm glad to see Trump getting back to asking private sector experts to do a little service. The only person more experienced than Tillerson who comes to mind right away is Condoleeza Rice given today's geo-political landscape but she's said she doesn't want to be in government anymore so we have Tillerson.

Priebus. Meh, whatever, maybe there was a better choice out there but let's face it, DC is full of establishment types and Priebus knows how to talk to them. Trump did also make Stephen Bannon basically the equivalent of Priebus and French knows that yet didn't mention it.

Trump said what he needed to say to get elected. Well, yeah, so has every other candidate in every other election in every time period, ever.

French just reeks of sour grapes to me.

as I predicted, most libs readily see that trump was just using his second face to speak to the morons to get elected. it will take years for most trumpers to understand they got swindled. then you have some here that will swear that's exactly what they voted for and it would still be better than anyone else.
