Some small fraction of the audience does.

Some fraction of those that speak English also speak Spanish.

But since the game is televised in ENGLISH one would expect them to also speak that language as well.

The game like just about every sporting event is also simulcast in Spanish. I can watch any football game with Spanish speaking announcers by simply selecting it on my TV.

It isn't 'on paper,' but it is pretty much in reality.

Yea, sure. People look up lyrics as some song is being sung.

Music doesn't require you to understand the lyrics particularly when much of today's music is more about visual spectacle than the music.

Hmm.. for not being able to do something you sure spent a lot of time pretending you could do it.

I know enough watching several of his videos to know:

1. He sings in Spanish and all of his music uses sampled beats or sampled generic Latin music. There is ZERO originality in the musical accompaniment.

2. He injects a lot of political opinion and symbolism into his songs and music videos.


As I previously pointed out, the problem with doing this at a Super Bowl event is that the Super Bowl is NOT a political event. That Trump tossed in some Spanish at some of his rallies was playing to the crowd. If he did that at say an event in Arizona, that makes sense as a good chunk of the population are Hispanic. That he would have political content makes sense too as he is doing a political event.

What you aren't grasping is the Super Bowl is non-political and a non-political event. The vast majority of the audience speaks English. To put on a half-time show that contains overt political commentary and content and is performed in Spanish makes ZERO sense. It is very likely to engender a very negative response from the audience.

Yes. Considering what they charge for a 30 second spot, it's a very good deal re advertising. Same with shows like The Voice and AGT. If the acts had to pay for their spots on those, it would cost them a hell of a lot of money to promote their acts in those time slots. I'm surprised they get paid anything at all.
