Don't you ever get tired of being a broken record?

Do you ever have an original thought?

Lower the minimum wage, all you do is lower the wage. There is only so much work, the idea that companies will hire more workers at lower wages is too stupid even for you.

No. Lower the wage and you can have more workers. My grandfather worked six days a week during the Great Depression, because he was willing to work hard for low wage. When they cut pay across the board, he responded by working harder and longer hours. He was the last laborer standing when his employer went bankrupt, and he walked across town and got another job the next day based on his reputation. During this time he fed his family and saved enough to buy his first house.

Not to dishoner your grandfather in any way, but his working for less let HIM work, not more people work. Try again.

Again you show your ignorance of simple economics. Folks who are worth more would demand what they are worth, and employers who denied them couldn't compete in the market.

Wouldn't it depend on the type of business and skill sets required? So you have no problem with slave wages for the plebians. Thanks for proving you right wingers are always looking to build an aristocracy.

Wouldn't it depend on the type of business and skill sets required?
No it wouldn't. Work requiring less skill of less hard work will attract more workers thus pay will be less. Workers who decide to work harder or obtain more skill will find higher paying jobs. This is all simple supply and demand.

Unfortunately higher pay for higher skill sets is often limited by the economic climate. America is facing decades of lower pay for higher skills because it is a buyer's market.

You folks on the right have absolutely no clue about civics or what constitutes a civil society. The law of the jungle is not a civilized society.

Economies are cyclical in free markets. Down turns, however, can be caused by and are extended by socialist policies.

And what would you propose we do to remedy this?
