Newt can beat Obama, but can he beat Romney?

Less than a week ago Dixie was going on and on about how these sexual allegations against Cain help him and will lead to his nomination.

This week's embarrassing blunder is how Newt would obliterate president Obama.

Silly, independents hate Newt and the evangelicals dont belive this Catholic is a Christian. This is the man who was impeaching President Clinton while lying under Oath about an affair with his current wife. This is a man who told his first wife he was leaving her, while she was in a hospital bed suffering from cancer. This is the man who appeared in a television commercial with Nancy Pelosi discussing the evils of global warming. This is the man who supports amnesty for illegal immigrants and the same man who ran up a million dollar credit card bill with Tiffany's.

What if Newt tells the truth again like he did earlier this year? Will Repelicans still vote for him? They about crucified him for doing that earlier this year. lol
 
The thing is, how much of this ancient history will stick to Newt? Hasn't it all been said before? If he should win the GOP nomination, will voters on the right not have sent the message that they just don't care about these things? If that's the case, how do you idiots figure it will hurt him in the general? The way I see it, either Newt's baggage condemns him, or his vast experience is his salvation. It's unknown at this time, which way that will break, but if Newt should win the GOP nomination, you guys are in serious trouble, because it means all of this stuff from his past is simply irrelevant to today's voter. I know it plays well with the liberal base, but they weren't voting for Gingrich anyway, were they?
 
On the plus side, Newt is a very smart man. As Dixie has pointed out, he knows history, is always prepared for a debate, a morning news show etc. If he was JUST that guy he might could win. But he is not just that guy, and his ex-wife Marianne will be out there reminding people that Newt Gingrich is a serial adulterer and heartless human being. Newt proposed to Marianne in 1980 while his first wife, Jackie, was in the hospital recovering from treatments for uterine cancer. When he proposed he hadn't even told Jackie he wanted a divorce. When he left her she became so broke that she had to get the court to ORDER Newt to pay her electric bill because he was not supporting the household during the time they were still going through the divorce.

While Marianne was home visiting her mother, after having been diagnosed with MS Newt proposed to Callista Bisek, Gingrich's current wife, without first having told Marianne that he wanted a divorce. The man has left two wives while they were suffering with Illnesses. He left each one for an even younger woman. Bisek is 22 years younger than Newt. Newt Gingrich talks a good game, but when it comes to family values, he has no foundation. He is EVERYTHING Bill Clinton is and more. Republican's repeatedly stated that Clinton's life style made him unfit to be president. Whether Dems believed that or not, Nominating Newt would be hypocritical to the extreme.

No, it will mean that this stuff from his past is simply irrelevant to today's REPUBLICAN primaryvoter. The Republican primary voter is not enough for him to win the general election. One thing I can think of that would energize the liberal voters like they were back in 08' is for the Republicans to nominate Newt. Check out the guys numbers with independent voters, its very bad.

Id say Newt is the most intelegent of the Republican canidates, that is not saying much. The guy knows history and even geography, something the other Republicans really LACK, but how will Newt play to the "values voters" and how will a Catholic play to the evangelical's, they might hold there nose and support him, but not with the excitment he would need.

Same can be said for the Mormon candidate, who virtually every TEA Party voter would hold their nose for.
 
Newt has no moral compass. Too many voters, especially independents will not vote for him. Newt would assure an Obama re-election.

Honestly, I don't believe Mitt can win many Southern primaries. Evangelical Christians think that Mormonism is a Cult and that they are going to hell for following Joseph Smith a "false prophet." I was once married to a woman whose parents were STRONG southern baptists. Their church on a regular basis showed videos on the Mormon religion in which they repeatedly stated it was a cult and those that followed it were condemning themselves to hell. Evangelical's will not hold their nose and vote for him, IF there is a "real christian" still in the election.

He's married to the same woman for almost 20 years. No known affairs or indiscretions. I see nothing in his Presidency to show he has no moral compass. He's turned out to be a rather undistinguished executive, but lack of morals? Don't see it.

"Newty" in a DEBATE with The Obama, would be almost inhumane to watch. They would literally have to take commercial breaks to scrape pieces of Obama ass off the camera lens. It would be the ULTIMATE Conservative beat down, in every area on every question, from start to finish. On THE ISSUES, this man can carve up just about anyone in the room at any given time, he is a brilliant mind of our time, and that can not be underestimated.

But... if you insist on underestimating him....
