New York Times reporters blast Dems over Trump dossier funding claims

The poll you dismissed that shows public trust is at a horrendous low for the fourth estate?

What factual evidence have you provided? All you have said is 'they be most outstanding!'... yet nothing to back that up. Why is that Thing? You haven't provided a shred of evidence to support your view. I have.

I think I'd prefer to hear you say this:

Is a public opinion poll on trust in the media evidence of widespread media bias?

Yes or no.

and there you go again. I did not say EVERY journalist was biased for the left. that is simply your absurdity.

I stated that the bias is most certainly there and the fourth estate is destroying itself because of it... BOTH from the left (cnn, ny times, wa post) AND the right (fox).

Nice retreat.

I've said many times that there is bias. My contention is that most do their jobs properly. And that is the assumption - innocent until proven guilty.

Until you have more than an opinion poll or "look at the headlines!," you've got nuthin'.

The New York Times senior White House correspondent Maggie Haberman and reporter Kenneth Vogel are slamming Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC), saying they lied about funding for the so-called Trump dossier.

referring to Clinton campaign lawyer Marc Elias.

he Washington Post in a bombshell report late Tuesday said that Elias's legal firm hired Fusion GPS, a private research firm based in Washington, D.C., to provide opposition research on candidate Donald Trump.

Fusion GPS hired former British MI6 intelligence officer Christopher Steele to lead research, eventually resulting in a 35-page document that included claims against the Trump campaign and its alleged ties to Russia along with scandalous accusations about the candidate himself.

The dossier was shopped around to numerous media outlets for months before being published by BuzzFeed last January.

"Folks involved in funding this lied about it, and with sanctimony, for a year," Haberman tweeted to her more than 650,000 followers on Tuesday

^ former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele compiled the dossier on President Trump’s alleged ties to Russia.

The DNC in a statement late Tuesday attempted to distance its current leadership, including DNC Chairman Tom Perez, from the dossier funding.

“Tom Perez and the new leadership of the DNC were not involved in any decision-making regarding Fusion GPS, nor were they aware that Perkins Coie was working with the organization," said DNC spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa.

"But let’s be clear, there is a serious federal investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia, and the American public deserves to know what happened," she said.

Stunning, the NYT engaging in accidental journalism. I think they have already washed their hands of this story.

trump the poor victim.....

They cheated him..

He defended his lying bastard kid for dirty tricks?

Said (& the trumpkins defended it :rofl2:) anyone would do it, but now??? :rofl2:

The swamp needs to be drained & some ppl removed, starting w/ him & his family of crooks...

So you are okay with the media and DNC slandering people with pure unadulterated fabricated bullshit in a desperate effort to retain political power? You really are one fucked up moron.

The FBI started the ENTIRE Russian collusion crap (counterintelligence investigation) because of the Steele dossier.

Then Comey "briefs" Trump (giving respectability to the fake dossier)

Clinton lies to the NYTimes and to the public by not coming clean her hire (Fusion GPS) paid Steele for fake news.

At some point one really needs to look at the Clinton lies and the Deep State shenanigans
as deligitimization.
as I've been saying all along.

Pretty much sums up the massive corrupt lie that the media helped perpetrate from bullshit bought and paid for by the Party of the Jackass and Mrs. Jackass herself. These people are corrupt and despicable to the core.

Thought they were fake news?

I kid, I kid. See, what you see here are journalists w/ integrity, and who - oh! - are NOT beholden to a party or persona.

See, unlike posters who go crazy about this but don't care about the Trump campaign & good ol' WikiLeaks.

Dear dunce; it was the media who were complicit in this massive pile of unadulterated bile. What you see here are a minority few journalists still interested in facts and journalism.

If the FAKE media were actually concerned, this would be a massive media event.....but it isn't. They reported it and now wash their hands of the affair much like the swept the corruption of Benghazi and private e-mail servers under the carpet.

clinton lied, trump lies but that is ok.......... fuck them both dude... You have one measure for her & another for your hero.............

The country is going to hell, we look like an offshoot of the jerry fuckin springer show to the rest of the world..

you hire a low grade, low class actor & this is what you get.............

TO bad Johnson or Stein didn't win so we could argue about policy instead of this shit.................

AMEN!!!!!

Dear idiot; it is you morons on the left making the country look like a sequel to Jerry Springer. You really are too stupid for words.

as always they are only forced to report on it when everybody else has.

We have been saying for months now that democrats funded the steele dossier.

step 1: make dossier
step 2: use dossier to get fisa warrants
step 3: use FBI to conduct surveillance on opposing presidential campaign
step 4: ??????
step 5: profit and show nixon what a dumbass he is.

obama wiretapped trump brother thing.

^Spot on!!

Yes or no.

Yes. It is.

Would you say that the poll indicates that the populace isn't smart enough to see how the media is really doing an 'outstanding job'???

yes or no?

also... what would you provide as evidence that the media is doing an 'outstanding job'???

I can't help but notice you keep asking me for evidence, yet you refuse to provide any of your own.

I am not talking about the reporters being biased, I am talking about the articles they write showing their bias. That is the difference. Again... if you actually bothered READING the fucking articles, the headlines show the bias, the articles continue the bias. You are simply too fucking lazy to read the articles on there.

They are guilty. The articles they have been writing the last year have been getting worse and worse, especially since their preordained victor lost to Trump

The onus is on you - you have accused the media of widespread bias.

Wouldn't you agree w/ that basic principle of justice and fair play? Or are you that far gone?

Oh - and your answer was wrong. No...a public opinion poll is not "evidence." You used to be more discerning & logical. Now, you're just like good ol' TD up there.

and YOU have stated that they are doing 'outstanding work'... the onus is on you to show it. The public in general disagrees with your assertion. You have NOTHING to back up your claim.

Given that the only alternative to the poll is to go article by article, then yeah... that is better than your lack of evidence at all.

Funny how you pretend I am being the one that is illogical. You provide NOTHING to support your position. NOTHING. Yet you pretend you are correct and logical??? LMAO

can't help but point out that I answered your question... yet you refuse to answer mine. Why is that Thing?

also... yes, the poll is indeed evidence. It is not PROOF. It is evidence. If enough people feel that way, then it is evidence there is a problem with the media. If trust is the issue, then the evidence shows they are doing something to deserve that distrust. Simply proclaiming it isn't evidence is not sufficient.

The media bias against Trump is unprecedented in the modern era. Even Jimmy Carter called them on it.

Granted, things may have been worse in 1803.
