New York State Is Now Mandating “Stargazing Permits” For Looking At The Sky

Imagine this: You’re out with your family in one of the parks in New York state where you can actually see the stars when it gets dark. You look up in the sky, see a constellation, and you point upwards to show your kids. Along comes a park ranger demanding to see your Stargazing Permit, and issues you a citation because you didn’t know you needed such a permit. That’s right, the state of New York is now demanding us peasants give them money so we can look up at the sky. This is totally a real thing, as it shows up on the state’s permitting for “Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation” schedule:

STARGAZING PERMIT Requirements: Fee of $35.00, $60-Out of State –Vehicle Registration and Driver’s License Required Permit allows after sunset parking for stargazing only, valid January 1 -December 31at:

Hither Hills -Except July & August

Jones Beach -West End 2 and Field 6

Montauk Point –Upper Parking Lot

Robert Moses -Field 2

Gov. Alfred E. Smith/Sunken Meadow -Field1 & Field 3

Wildwood –Main Parking Lot

Leftists are a hoot!

I wonder if I should charge Dumber69 a licence fee for using the word cunt, seems only fair!

Yes, using your real name should involve some kind of fee.

Maybe a nickel, which because it's 5x what you are worth, would cover 5 uses.

How about something that's not from a bogus political jockey and his ass mining operations of info?

That's why it's called a Star Gazing Permit, right dumbass? lol

It's a Star Gazing Permit specific to Star Gazing.

If you're having trouble comprehending this, call Mr. Gorman. I'm sure you both will have great phone sex after he explains it to you in detail. ;)

Don't like the fee, cunt? Park somewhere else.

Whiney fucking bitch.

:rofl2:

Good grief...

Not a credible link. Not from a source that practices the standards of professional journalism.

I checked it out- It is true that the Park does have a permit required fee for Stargazing on certain parking lots and some other areas. You do not have to have a permit if you purchase a campers permit- and you stargaze from your campsite.

Although it is over the top, and in my opinion, a ridiculous fee, it was most likely put in place to keep the homeless people from trying to use these parking lot spaces as campsites to get around paying the fees for them. Some parks also have ridiculous fees like this to discourage motorcycle gangs from hanging out and partying on the parking lots all night.

These political pundits love you political retards. You literally make them wealthy over what could be called storytime sessions. If you don't like parking fees don't go near a city or heavily trafficed areas. If a late-night parking fee makes you clench your butthole you're too wimpy for the cities anyway.

That, and people would go out there at night, party then leave their garbage strewn all over the place for the park employees to clean up, taking them away from other duties and costing the taxpayers more money.

They should just make parking after hours off limits.

Camping only.

I agree, Texas accomplishes the same thing without silly fees. They just have strict Park rules.

You are making the claim.

The burden is on you to provide reputable links and information to support your claim.

Did you stop having gay sex in men's restrooms? PROVE ME WRONG!

I googled "new york state parks stargazing permit" and guess what? With only two exceptions (articles about a specific park's activities), all the sources were far RW blog crap. The first four pages were mostly moronic garbage from the Reichwing All-Tard Chorus and Review.

It's a permit to allow people to park near and access beach areas in state parks with the purpose of amateur astronomy and/or stargazing. Otherwise those areas are off-limits after sunset.

Now the truth comes out.

Noted rightwing hack Michael Savage totally mischaracterized this. Who could have predicted?

This, Trump boot-lickers, is why you never will be trusted until you provide credible links to sources which practice professional journalistic standards

And I though the conservatives on this forum had sunk to the bottom of the barrel, but "Michael savage" as a source? For real?

Nobody cares, you don't like New York, don't go there, I don't think they are going to miss a "Michael Savage" diehard
I'll bet you're even dumber in person. lol

The only important part of your post is the source is Michael Savage. You can gaze at the stars all you want. There are some parks that limit access at night, so the permit is to gain access to a few parks at night.

trump has advocated for executing black kids for being in a park after dark. Many parks do not allow anyone in. Charging a fee to enter a park after dark seems like a lessor burden.

By the way, it is only in Long Island, and is mostly to keep outsiders out of the park. It is meant to be more expensive to outsiders.
Easy, fuckface. Savage is just the messenger. Check out the source, then find domer76 and have some cyber sex with NYC officials. ;)
