I spent a couple hours in a county jail once (long story but it was completely my unintentional fault). They gave me a slice of "bologna" (whatever that is) in between two dry pieces of white "bread" (that's a generous term). Trump's greasy palate, I'm assuming, will have some difficulty adjusting.

I used to work as a cook, many many moons ago, for a county jail. I hope #TRE45ON enjoys ham n bean night with greens n cornbread.... 3x/week. lol

What a fucking joke. Trump won't have any more rallies because nobody will come and he will be embarrassed. He won't run because he will lose bigtime. I hope he does because he might just win a nomination but then would not stand a chance in the general. Just one of those crimes a felony and he can't run.

It was fine... the first time or two. But then...

The worst thing we had to feed them was tuna casserole. Everyone hated tuna casserole night. The casserole also had cheese. It was absolutely revolting, and I (used to) love tuna casserole. The inmates' trays came back full, and we almost always had to stay late because fights would break out.

Tuna casserole doesn’t sound bad either. And I add cheese on most everything.:)
Now how did you get a job as a prison cook?

Big no to "casserole". In parts of the Midwest they call it hot dish or goulash. Why not just admit poverty or laziness, put all the random shit from the cupboard/refrigerator into some glass dish, and call it "the best I could do"?

I had worked at a publishing company for almost 10 years, got downsized when they lost a couple of big contracts. I applied for a couple of clerical jobs at the county govt., and also the cook one (which actually paid the same as the clerical jobs but had worse hours). Interviewed for all three and grabbed the first offer -- the cook one. My late husband was disabled so we needed my income. It was an interesting experience. I worked there for two years, then quit and went to nursing school.
