New Mexico governor suspends right to carry firearms in public in Albuquerque

I'm sure you do. But I also don't think you and I agree on who the gun nuts are.

Probably not. For me, a gun nut is one who opposes measures to keep guns out of the hands of people who should not have them. Who denies guns are a problem when they are the leading cause of death in our children and teens. People who think an armed society is a safer society when all evidence points to the opposite. When the answer to gun violence is “mire guns”.

Those are the nuts.

What law prevents criminals from having guns while guaranteeing the rights of honest citizens to own a gun? If you don't like noncriminal citizens having the right to own a gun move to Mexico. See how it works for you there.

As somebody who owns firearms,

I am at a complete loss

when it comes to the attitude of so many others who also own firearms.

My guns have to comprise one of the least important things in my life.

When I was a kid, even before college age,
I purchased a number of fairly expensive firearms

because I enjoyed plinking at inanimate objects with expensive center-fire ammunition
and also because I appreciated the significant beauty of the weapons
which didn't look minutely like the military-looking shit that the crackers like to buy these days.
They looked [look] like art.

I often had little part time side jobs, despite studying and boxing,
and my parents never took a dime of the money
so it was all for toys and clothes and going out.

After military service, any enjoyment I got out of shooting was entirely dissipated,
but I've kept the guns in my storage room.

They'll be worth a few bucks to the kids when they sell them after I'm gone.

My point is that guns are inanimate objects.

Crackers shouldn't regard them with more importance than their own dicks.

Liberals shouldn't conflate a gun problem with a fucking idiot problem.

And yet the group that commits the most violent crimes with guns is solidly not in the cracker demographic it is in the Democrat demographic that the Democrat party thinks they have all sewed up.

I use a scarey looking gun to control ferel pigs on my family east Texas watermelon farm. I use it rather than a deer rifle because it is a much better to use to shoot as many feral pigs as you can before they scatter. Every year before the watermelons start to form we bait and attract pigs to the farm shoot them harvest the meat and leave the guts and heads and feet around the perimeter of the fields. Pigs are smart animals when they smell dead pigs they avoid the area. We donate the meat to the poor and those in need. I have some processed into sausage and donate it to an orphanage. So we only waste the large boars which are not that good to eat.. You need to castrate them and feed then on corn for 6 weeks before you eat them. Even then they are best as ground into sausage or other ground meat.

Flintlocks aren't worth that much anymore.

We have gang bangers who cap each other one or two at a time.
You have mass murderers.

If you say, Breakdown, that it's my side which is accumulating the larger total body count,
I haven't accumulated date to either confirm or disprove your theory.

They're both fucking crazy, urban gang bangers and cracker domestic terrorists,

and we still can't figure out why.

That's our REAL problem from my perspective.

Even livestock pigs aren't very good when they're allowed to get too big, I'm told,
so I understand why the large wild boars aren't saved to eat.

Flintlocks aren't worth that much anymore.

Right, Breakdown.
I don't have even more modern black powder weapons.

I have guns with fine hardwood, hand-checkered stocks
and exquisite blueing

that AR-15 and AK-47 fans don't care about.

Hey, people like what they like.

We shall indeed. I predict that this order is deemed unconstitutional.

That depends on how you interpret the Constitution!

Trust me your side is WAAAAAY ahead on the body count. You can see for yourself if you don't believe me. https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u....f_vicitm_by_race_and_sex_of_offender_2013.xls

Don't see to many urban crackers with AR 15 and the like around here.

I don't eat any pork at all a religious thing to me. My family gives all the meat away.

I'm sure all the gangsters and criminals in the Albuquerque area will immediately obey this edict and stop carrying a gat everywhere they go...

He is probably just that stupid.

Don't the cops have firearms too?

And there probably isn't any edict for them to stop carrying them.

In the end, it comes down to who decides to shoot first, right?

I know what would happen if you walked around downtown Boston with an AK-47 or the like,

but your town probably has its own protocols

and they're thankfully not my problem.

Hey, people like what they like.
My AR-15s are just tools. I prefer function over form in an AR-15

I have a Weatherby Mark V Backcountry 2.0 TI Carbon to hunt deer with because it is relatively light to drag around. About 5.5lbs without scope.

And yet my town has far fewer murders per capita than Boston does. Interestingly we did have a ex cartel lawyer that moved in and was eventually assassinated across the park from the police station about ten years ago.. They eventually caught the assassins at the boarder when the tried to renter Mexico. Our most recent murder rate was 0.00 per 1000 And Boston was 8.6 per 100,000 and that is your problem.
