New hurricane to follow

They are in Charleston, North Carolina, just moved there from Vermont, nieces are in Georgia near and South Carolina, all near the coasts. My oldest sister has a winter home in Kissemee, FL, we are suppose to go there for Thanksgiving.

Central FL should have slighter winds, maybe 40>60mph. It's the extreme coastline which will take the brunt...as of latest projections.
S.C. seems to be in the clear. Irma should exit through GA after being beat up by all that land that will have weakened her. She'll be a mild rainstorm by that point. I'll be praying for your family's safety. :)

Now we got conservatives supporting "blank checks" on Government funds, wow, come a long way from screaming about budgets, debt, and deficits, guess it depends on who is in the White House, so much for the "principals" they told us made up conservatism

The complaints by conservatives are not about hurricane recovery spending, conservative objections are to the non-hurricane related pork that gets packed on to recovery spending to take advantage of a disaster and couch opposition to pork spending as hatred for hurricane victims. Disaster relief is one of the things many conservatives agree are a valid use of government funds.

Also, is this supposed hypocrisy anything like liberals screaming "ZOMG!! THE BUDGET!1!" with Bush, then turning Keynesian under Obama and back to "ZOMG!! THE BUDGET!1!" under Trump?

I have posted the evidence that the Sandy relief bill was laden with pork numerous times, and the left has ignored it while continuing to parrot their unfounded assertion that it was pork-free.

Oooooooooooo bless her heart. She's going to earn her "sea legs" right off the bat then. It's a pretty rude welcome we're giving her here in the "Plywood State" by handing her a hurricane!

If Irma maintains a CAT 5 level, if any of you have the means to make egress now, I would highly recommend it.

The only reason I remained during Andrew was because I was in a 1920's limestone cottage, rock solid, slept through it like a baby. The major damage there was to all the newer model homes. The CBS homes faired better, but still took a beating...I think mainly from some twisters that came through.

Folks within 30 miles of the coastline better head west for this one.

40-60mph? is that all ( i mean Im not asking for more)--
I guess there goes the electric but hopefully no structural damage.

I went to Publix and Walmart and only dispensing gallons.
I thought "why not try Costco?" and hit the gold mind

I got 5 cases ( 175 bottles -the limit per customer) @ $2.99 a case..
I filled the gas tank -wow! gas was up 50 cent from last week ($2,69 at Racetrack)

I should go buy a generator, but i'd probably kill us all hooking it up incorrectly
 
Yeah, there's bound to be some limbs and old trees falling on some wires somewhere. Glad you got your water and gas though... and hopefully a few snacks! :)
