#Never Trump cawaco

I don't know that Republicans caved to Obama. I'm not exactly sure what you expected them to do. But they did shoot themselves in the foot making voters think they could overturn Obamacare which was never going to happen while he was still in office. You set up false expectations and then people rightfully get pissed when you don't perform

How did they cave? They fought every inch of the way?

Considering liberals complain about pricing while completely ignoring supply and demand tells me you don't. And using disproven Keynesian economic theory tells me as well you don't.

Despite what they teach in Economics 101, many circumstances exist in our Capitolist system where Supply and Demand do not control price. Its simply too basic to explain, for example, situations where their is no effective competition. Many industries collude to keep prices up despite supply.

I can point to a prime example of housing which affects everyone. And the lack of building in certain markets keeps prices high while forcing out many and reducing mobility for individuals and families this having a negative impact on the overall economy.

I am not saying Supply and Demand are not factors sometimes. I am saying that many over rely on that ideal more than is reality, it is not that simple.

so basically your position is that when an external force (such as collusion or governmental regulation) interferes with the driving force behind capitalism, something besides capitalism controls price......./brillig!

Collusion has become a part of capitolism.

There are other forces beyond collusion and government forces that cause supply and demand to fail. One is simple ignorance, sometimes people will pay silly prices for something that is in huge supply, or something that the public is made to believe is in short supply.

Collusion has become a part of capitolism.

just like dishonorable trial lawyer tactics have become a part of the theory of tort law?.....just like Hillary Clinton's campaign tactics have become part of political science?.....just like safe cracking and bank robbery have become part of economics?.......no counselor......

Reagan didn't vote on those and that's how you or we should define whether people are nice?

3D said he was nice, not me. I would criticize anybody who was against civil rights for Americans.

Besides, Trump didn't vote on the Iraq war either but we can still criticize him for supporting it.

Ok. Just seems a random comment when 3D is comparing Trump to Reagan to bring up that he was not nice because in his 80 some odd years he felt the Civil Right Act violated the Constitution.

Honest question PR, does it upset you when they say Trump is making a play for the black and Hispanic vote or do you know by his rhetoric that it's just lip service?
how do you know it's "just lip service"?
Do you think he went to a black church (Flint),and was reprimanded ,and didn't talk back to the woman preacher
because he was there solely for political points?

Maybe he really does care that part of making America great again, is making it's cities a viable place to live
and not just pump money into!

I'm as cynical as the next person, and while i criticize Clinton for her craven arrogance -
I still give her credit for wanting the best for the country. You should do the same for Trump perhaps??

Here's how I know it's lip service in terms of attracting black voters. I've talked to enough black people and read enough black people to know how offensive they find him. First is when Donald says "the African-Americans". When he puts "the" in front of African-American it's used as a division as in separating blacks. The second thing he does is continually use the term inner city to reference blacks. And then when he says the inner cities are the worst they've ever been it shows a complete lack of knowledge of history and again is seen as putting down black people.

I'm just the messenger here but there's a reason Trump polls so poorly among the black community and it's his rhetoric which I'm pretty sure is purposeful.

you're are giving me a political answer to the question of his "lip service".
If you haven't noticed by now Trump has a weird way of talking. "the African-Americans" sounds stilted, but it's not divisive.
same thing with the inner cities,he modified that because he was getting crap about lumping all blacks into a life of poverty.

It may very well be a political attempt at getting black votes, i'm sure it is.

What I was trying to show you is having a political agenda doesn't mean one doesn't want "to make America great again" -
hell; I give that much credit to Clinton who is the most calculating political animal to ever stalk the nomination.
It doesn't mean she doesn't want the best for the USA too.
Give that same presumption to Trump

I'm just saying how black people view Trump's rhetoric. I'm a white dude so I can't speak to it personally but black people clearly know what Trump means when he says it.

I agree w/ your point, but that last line is really hard to presume.......... He seems to put himself before anyone/anything.:dunno:

blacks are Democrats by and large..but no need to beat this to death.

Yes blacks are Democrats and Republicans have little chance of winning their votes. This is the first time this has really been discussed that I've seen but it's how Trump is offensive in appealing to black voters, if that is what he's even doing.
