Netflix movie "Mitt"

I just got done watching and mostly agree with you. One part I didn't take to was when the family was kneeling and praying about the 2008 election, it seemed like they believed that God wanted them to win; it didn't come across with any humility. I didn't get a negative vibe from Ann or any of the family re: their personalities. I thought she seemed genuine when talking about her health and the effect it had on everything. Mitt seemed more relaxed and friendly than he appeared during the campaign. The biggest fault IMO was that they seemed entitled and out of touch with regular Americans. Every scene and person looked airbrushed, even the little kids.

They certainty felt entitled and that they were on a mission from God to save the world. As far as when Ann was talking about her health, I guess the part where she said she had to return to her Horses ever three days or so, to recover smacked of any understanding that someone born without her privilege does not have that luxury. I wanted to smack Mitt when he was talking about how he would not be where he was without the foundation his father laid. That's the point is it not, that others don't have that opportunity. He is out preaching that poor people don't need help, they should do it on their own, when he never had to do so.

Did you catch the part where his personal assistant came into the room and was surprised that Mitt had already tied his own bowtie?

Mitt has a personal Valet!

He saw that she too had a "dark passenger" that she needed to exorcise. He also thought that he could learn from her how to have human emotions and feelings and thus be able to have a genuine human relationship. Turned out he was wrong.

I started Dexter last night. Its good, I saw the first two episodes.

What is Game of Thrones about?

I was going to watch it, but for some reason when I tried to buy it from Amazon last night it would not go through.

It is about several nobles and an exiled Princess who has dragons fighting over who will rule the kingdom. There is also a supernatural evil rising in the North that threatens them all!

The series is very well done, the books are very well written. I am waiting for Martin to finish the 6th book. There are to be seven books total! They spilt the second book into two parts!

Should I read the books first? If I don't love supernatural, can I still enjoy it?

I haven't read any of the books, and I enjoy it. So far, we still haven't really encountered much of the supernatural element.

I think you would. There is more to it then the "white walkers"

I saw the first season then read the books, I think the books fill in extra details.

You do realize that you were watching a hollweird production, right?

It was made by a Mormon director who was sympathetic to Mitt, so if you want to call that weird...

"My initial attraction to Mitt was his Mormonism. I'm Mormon and I remember my dad telling me the story of George Romney when I was a little kid. I remember being very surprised to learn that there was an actual presidential candidate — and not just any presidential candidate, but someone that was actually a legitimate contender, a front-runner..."

The part about Ann returning to her horses is definitely true. I honestly think the family didn't realize how their privileged lives would come across to viewers.

It was the personality of her character that turned me off. Soulful and "victim-y" while being a killer.

I don't see sympathy in that article. In fact, just the opposite. So it's a straw man. And for you libtards that's OK.

I watched the Netflix documentary "Mitt" last night.

Has anyone else seen it? I cant tell if its simply his very dour personality or if he knew, in the closing weeks, he was about to lose the election. I was kind of shocked and surprised at how negative the entire family seemed. They portrayed such an up beat image during the campaign. I was also surprised at the formality between Romney and Ryan. The media reported it as if Romney was shocked by the loss, but in the documentary it did not seem that way to me.

The film did make me like Romney more, he seemed more real in many ways. It made me like his wife less, she seemed very detached and kind of spoiled.

Sure!

First off I plan to watch it. But I have higher education movies on my list. I know a LOT about Romney and his past.

Romney wasn't Tea Party driven until the election. It's a big part of the reason he lost. He was called a "Moderate" until Corporate money entered his pockets. He is on video stating he wants Federal healthcare, FEDERAL, then ran against it. Ol' "moderate Mitt" turned into a warmonger that wanted to cut all social security, welfare and even public schools. (yes, public schools are on the "entitlement list")

Mitt Romney like other Presidents talk a great talk to get in office. They know what voters want to hear. But after in office they know that the Corporations that purchased them during election are the priority.

I'll probably watch it tomorrow since you made a post about it. I never want to lack in education.
