Time capsule from the North Pole washes up in Ireland two years later

McClory and Curran were able to contact the author of one of the letters from the time capsule on social media, and the person told them the time capsule's creators had not expected it to be found for 30 or 40 years.

"She let me know that they actually traveled to the 90-degree point of the North Pole," Curran told the Irish Independent. "They got a helicopter there and they put the time capsule in ice."

Yep. M cycles predict a 40 thousand year cycle and that did occur for about 2 million years. But that inexplicably changed to 100k year cycles about a million years ago.

The M cycles can't account for that either.

The precession of the earth's orbital axis due to the periodicity of Milakovitch cycles operate on time scales of tens of thousands of years. They operate on geologic time scales.

Milakovitch cycles are too slow for the next glacial cycle to arrive in time to mask or overwhelm the current rapid global warming we are going to experience in the 21st and 22nd centuries, unless we stop overloading the atmosphere with carbon.

Get this through your thick skull; you are not smart. A glacial period does not happen instantaneously, but we are well on our way. Your cherry picking time scales is myopic. You don't even know wtf a geologic time scale is. :palm:

NASA says we are "supposed" to be 2 degrees cooler already. That means the glaciation period has already begun. You don't have to wait for it. It's already here.

You would be surprised what I know about the geological sciences. I just do not run my mouth about my experience and education.

We are tens of thousands of years from ever potentially seeing glacial sheets in Ohio. Civilization may not even be around then.

We should be cooler than we are because we overloaded the atmosphere with carbon and made it warmer than it should be.
