Nadler's Judiciary announces impeachment process is UNDERWAY

Yep. We don't want him removed from office. Pence is worse, and he might actually have a chance to get elected in this crazy atmosphere.

don't know if that idiot/religious nut Pence is actually worse but he's a disaster too

I definitely agree there's no way the Senate convicts on the House impeachment...……..but the optics are FANTASTIC for the Democrats, and it sure won't help Senators trying to get reelected in purple states and even some heretofore red ones

Sure. All of the illegal obstruction actions taken by trump will be made public. It'll serve little more than to act as an opportunity for voters to see the truth about this crook when they go to the polls.

It won't affect his base. It won't affect Dem. voters.

It'll give Independents the information that they already know to be true. In black and white.

And? Any consequences before the election?

So after a three year investigation all you have are optics lol?

Can you get your money back?

Maybe, unless it backfires on them like it did when Clinton was impeached.

how'd it work out for Nixon on the same charges?

Nixon had lost most of his support in both Congress and the public. Clinton's impeachment was seen as political rather than criminal although it included perjury and obstruction of justice. Still, it resulted in an increase in his approval rating.

Some joked that we already knew Clinton was a womanizer so we were not disappointed in him when it happened.

Clinton's approval went up because the charges were ludicrous and everyone knew it

Nixon resigned because he saw the conviction coming and had no choice...……..back then the GOP wasn't a bunch of stooges and toadies, and doing Nixon's bidding at every turn

Wouldn't it be nice if the taxpayers could get our money pack? And, now they continue to throw time
and money on a cause that's already dead in the water.

who are government employees paid by?

in this case Manafort

For those whining about the Mueller investigation, enjoy this: FORTUNE magazine reports that it began, it has nearly doubled the amount of money it has returned to the government from tax liabilities. Paul Manafort alone agreed to forfeit assets that amounted to between $42 million and $46 million, including about $22 million in property, reported CNBC.
Another big payback was from Michael Cohen, who has agreed to pay $1.4 million in unpaid taxes and hand over $500,000 in assets as well as pay $100,000 in fines.

Good job, Mr. Mueller!

Nixon redux...…..obstruction of justice impeachment

history actually does repeat itself
:palm: do you actually believe the troll shit you post? more's the pity.

Start here.
Nixon was a corrupt figure in his presidency -he ran his own equivalent of today's Deep State -
the so called "Plumbers"

Trump can't even trust his staff - so any attempt at obstruction never happened.

Meaning
this obstruction case is about a crime (collusion) that never happened by a staff (McGhan in this case)
who would not execute what they knew was Trump's frustrated desires.

:chicken: a slam dunk!!

Clinton's approval went up because the charges were ludicrous and everyone knew it

A majority of the House did not think they were ludicrous. And 50 members of the Senate did not think the obstruction of justice charges were ludicrous.

But the public did not think Clinton had really committed any bad criminal acts--Congress was just out to get him. Today Trump's voters are not convinced he committed obstruction of justice or they think the Democrats are just out to get him.

I have no real knowledge of whether he committed any crimes or not, but the things Democrats want to get him for have changed several times since he took office.

You have to admit they have wanted him out since he was elected before the obstruction issue ever arose. Even those who do not like him, like myself, think the election should determine his fate.
