NAACP Is Finally Useless

so when jesse jackson makes a racist comment, you contribute that to all blacks and all dems....is that right?

Well, at least we agree that that shit he wrote was some racist shit.

And I don't "contribute" anything Jesse Jackson says to anyone. I'm not sure how the physics would work on that but I'd love to see like a diagram or something.

the NAACP IS useless. they are more racist than whatever percentage of the TEA activists are racist.

If they're so useless why the heck does anybody other than the members care what they say?

For some reason Mark Williams has a bone to pick with them. If he's a spokesman for the TPE, they need to rethink their leadership. And NO, I don't think the TPE as a whole is racist, just a certain element of it.

The Tea Party Express' Mark Williams -- fresh off his claim that the NAACP makes "more money off of race than any slave trader, ever" -- took to his personal blog today to offer an at least racist-ish screed calling out the NAACP for continuing to use the word "Colored" in its name.

In the post, Williams calls NAACP President Ben Jealous "Tom's Nephew" and ties tea party calls for smaller government to "emancipation" (which, of course, is just steps away from the standard tea party line that Democratic policies amount to "tyranny.")

But the central theme centers around, as Williams writes, the "absurdity of a group that calls blacks 'Colored People' hurling charges of racism."

Here's a sample (the post is written in the form of a mock letter to President Abraham Lincoln from Jealous):

We Colored People have taken a vote and decided that we don't cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!

That's just the introduction. Here's the good stuff:

Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government "stop raising our taxes." That is outrageous! How will we Colored People ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?

Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.

Again, for the record: this how an official at the Tea Party Express explains how not racist the Tea Party is.

lol.... funny... because liberals are desperate to label the tea party as accepting racists. Where is the PRINT for that? Where is the audio on the racist chants?

The tea party doesn't have any set national leaders that I have seen. It is a bunch of local groups, who from what I have seen continue to state they do not condone racist behavior/comments/signs etc...

Very similar to how liberal organizations don't condone the actions of the anarchists that repeatedly show up at their protests. Yet the anarchists continually show up at their events anyway trashing property, setting fires and confronting police in a violent manner.

As I said before, I don't think the entire TPE is racist but people like Mark Williams, the party chairman, doesn't do the group any favors by making speeches like the one below. Actually it boggles my mind that Willliams could make a speech like this, even if he qualifies it by saying he's mocking, and then cry hurt when he's called out on it.

Can you actually feel your forehead slump when you say things like that?

 Can you actually believe I wasn't being sarcastic when I wrote that?

Coming from the person who instructed the board that most of his own posts were sarcastic, I'd expect you to recognize it when you see it.

Cool 'nuff. I haven't seen "most" of your posts being sarcastic in the past, but I'll believe you when you say you meant it as sarcasm.

But are you being sarcastic here or sincere?

And if you choose to reply will that be sarcastic?

This is very confusing.

OH-Excuse me; but it wasn't that long ago that many people, including posters on this board, were saying that the Tea Party movement was useless and that no one was taking them seriously.
Therefore; why is everyone all of a sudden concerned about the Tea Party and what they say, or are accused of saying.\?

Well if you believe that then you need to go back to school and touch up on your reading skills. Show me where I said the whole group is racist? You'd have to be a completely blind partisan moron not to see the racist element in the tea party and I'll stand by my comments. If the leaders of the teabaggers are sincere about not being racist then what the fuck is so tough about making a ringing public stand rejecting that racist element. Unless of course they are racist and that is their position.

Stand by it all you want. It doesn't prove anything with facts. Just some nerd on a message board voicing his opinion. In the grand scheme of things it means about as much as Lindsay Lohan's word about being credible.

Well it depends on how you define useless, of course!
