N.C. Congressman Under Fire for Physical Confrontation With Man in Washington

If he took him down and gave him a sidewalk sandwich I'd have been impressed. You mean he didn't even give the young republican nuggies and we have an outrage. LOL

some little fox operative like the dude who got his wrist slapped for breaking into Mary's office and tapping her phone.

Side note: He didn't tap her phone. Nor did he plan to.

This new story is really straight forward in my opinion. The students were well within their rights and the Congressman flipped out. He figured he could get away with hassling them because they're not regular media folks, but that's not how it works in the 21st century.

Nowadays, powerful people have to put up with us all wanting an answer. That's fair game. He could have just let it slide like every other rational person surrounded by cameras and questions and kept walking.

Instead, he got violent at a ridiculously simple question no one should be offended by, even if you don't like its tone.

There's nothing appropriate or legal about what the Congressman did. The fact that it's not being treated as a major story on most of the networks is pretty sad.

Let's face it: If a Republican had done the same thing, the reaction would have been identical. The difference would have been in the source of the "outrage".

I would be upset to if some kid stuck a camera in my face like that so I get why he responded but unless something was cut out the grabbing the guy around the neck seems excessive. I would think being in Congress one would have to have dealt with people yelling at them in the past and would know to just keep on walking and ignore it.

Where did I say he was convicted of anything, Yurtsie?

I simply provided links to related news items.

then what are your links for? what do they prove? you posted them in response to a claim....now, you're claiming they don't say he was convicted....why then post the links?

at least you admit the wiretapping claim is bullshit
