My health insurance...Thank you President Obama!

Did he claim that the high risk pool was closed to him? I thought he claimed that he enrolled in the high risk pool program. Prior to the passing of the Affordable Care Act, the state high risk pool was closed to new enrollees.

What any of that has to do with whether Jarod was denied coverage by three major carriers is beyond me, though.

Yes, later in the thread when I made a point to show that there was one available he answered that it wasn't available to him "at any cost". Including in his last few posts made today where he claimed this coverage wasn't made available to him. It is utter garbage. It just is a lie.

For several reasons, not the least is the fact that there was coverage available from a program created before Obamacare passed. Secondly for the fact that his chances of being rejected for solely high cholesterol in all three major carriers is astronomical.

Wanna bet, it is done all the time, they may cover you, but they want over $1,000 a month. Do you have that kind of money for insurance?

Your own previous link made it clear that high cholesterol is an unlikely reject... And according to his claim it was not available to him "at any cost" period.

Again, he is blatantly lying about not being able to get coverage because of high cholesterol. It is NOT a pre-existing condition that results in denial of coverage. It just ISN'T. Period.

I don't HATE Jarod. I think Jarod is a LIAR and an idiot. Big difference.

Yes, it is, Aetna denied coverage for it all the time, my daughter worked for them five years ago and she was amazed what they turned down or charged an astronomical fee for coverage which translates into the same thing for most people.

Um... it wasn't closed to him at the time he claimed, and the high risk pool was available previous to the passing of Obamacare. It's pretty cut and dry.

Basically a program passed and available in January of 2010 (passed in 2009) is not due to a program passed in March of 2010.

Where did you get this information? YOu are making it up as you go along, and I have to then go search to prove that you are posting erroneous information. Is this a tactic you use to exhaust your competition?

From the Florida Comprehensive Health site as previously linked:

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Starting in 2010, Florida started offering health care insurance coverage to residents through the federally established temporary high-risk pool program. To find out more about Florida's participation, click here.

Under what legislation was the temporary federal high risk pool established?

This report briefly describes the temporary federal high risk pool (HRP) program established by
the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA, P.L. 111-148, as amended).

You know what Damo, stop pulling stuff out of your ass and start checking your own "feelings" to make sure they are based in fact before you post them.

Edit to respond to your edit: What program are you talking about passed in 2009 and available in 2010? Can you provide a link?

Only if it's possible to link to his ass!

Dung: Do yourself a favor and stop being a douche bag. Jarod is the one that is in the wrong here. Yet you keep trying to defend him. Jarod is lying. Period. Yet you rush to defend him because he said something nice about your master.

Must... defend... all... lefties... at.. all... costs...

LOL.

the healthcare.org link provided previously had a "note" about the availability of the program as well as when it passed.

You will see that it was available since January of 2010. You can also note that Obamacare passed in March of that same year.

He claimed in the thread several times there was no insurance available to him "at any cost". He was lying.

I don't have time to go through all of that, but I googled "denied health insurance because of high cholesterol, and apparently on different medical boards all over the internet people are writing that they were denied because of that and asking for advice.

So it must be a big conspiracy that Jarod is a part of.

Can you find that note please? Because this is what I have:

And it ends up that according to what I found the federally established temporary high risk pool was a part of the affordable health care act. If you have differing information, can I see it please?

http://www.healthcare.gov/law/resources/reports/preexisting.html, I also posted another link about the issues, you are being obtuse.

This is an opinion piece about "what might happen"... Your only link with factual information made it clear that people were not regularly rejected for high cholesterol only.

Obtuse is ignoring your own facts from a previous link to present an opinion about what might happen later as "proof" that something "happens all the time"...

Damo and him have a stick up their asses about health insurance, both being obtuse, both claiming it has nothing to do with Jarod, both being a little dishonest themselves.

I am one of those like Jarod. I was self employed and tried to get insurance, it is far more difficult than one would believe, unless you are willing to pay HUGE premiums, but even then some don't want you at all.

Like Darla said, do the research. Since Obama care things have changed drastically, you are being obtuse. YPU could research it yourself and hear all of the stories from people who have been in Jarod's and my position.

Plus, I am just tired of your stupid little comments about liberals. I expect more from you than I get from Yurt but lately that hasn't been the case.

No, they don't. Charging more is NOT the same thing. Not even close. They SHOULD charge those who don't take care of themselves more. Otherwise we ALL have to subsidize their poor habits.

Your own link stated that it is not something that typically causes denial of coverage. High Cholesterol is NOT a pre-existing condition that generates a rejection by itself. It just isn't.

Yes, it is and there have been people denied. Again, do the research, it happened all the time. I heard the stories from my daughter who worked for Aetna. it was criminal what they do to people. The insurance industry is a bunch of shisters.

LMAO... the very first two links I clicked on stated, I was denied for high cholesterol AND....

They listed OTHER conditions that ALSO existed.

The THIRD link was the one you previously posted that states it is NOT usually rejected by itself.

So yeah... great big conspiracy... your links stated what I already stated. Thanks.

By the way... I kept clicking on links and have yet to find one where someone was denied simply due to high cholesterol. If you find ONE, please highlight that particular link.
