Muslim liberals destroy monuments

The sites being destroyed in the article are not "monuments" they are ancient ruins.
That was the first lie.

I remember when the Taliban destroyed Buddha statues in 2001 and how horrifying it was to see those ancient artifacts turned to rubble.

Bad enough to see the latest destruction happen and be helpless to prevent it, without making a snarky comment about "Muslim liberals."

The Islamic State destroyed many archaeological sites as it expanded across Iraq and Syria, looting some for profit and damaging others to gain attention.

Darth used the words "monuments" and "liberals" in his OP to conflate what Isis is doing to archaeological sites with what is being done to confederate monuments here in the USA as was posted in another thread yesterday.
His motives were transparent and his conflation of the two things was erroneous and an enormous stretch at best. Not even he is foolish enough to try to defend his silly notion. Yet you and FREEDUMB persist in defending his poor choice of rhetoric.
