Mother: I know he had his reasons for doing what he did

So now it's the guys mom we all need to blame, not the guns. The "hardening the school" thing didn't land, the "good guy with a gun" didn't land so now, Earl's trotting out "its the mom" defense.

It's the guns, Earl. And we're taking yours. I hope I get yours, personally, you soulless fuck.

We don't know that anybody has free will to commit vile transgressions or to do good.

Free will is faith, not proven science.

We simply need to humanely euthanize our dangerous defectives for expediency; we needn't punish them.
That's how I feel about the entire Republican Party, truth be told, and most Libertarians as well.

That woman just lost her son both spiritually and physically. This child she loved became an "evil" she cannot comprehend and she cannot reconcile her memories of the child she knew, this person she loved unconditionally, with what happened.

I understand why most folks cannot find compassion for her plight; however (for me) she is not the shooter and I know her grief is massive. That she's able to string words together that make sense in English through this wall of grief is surprising.

and he did have his reasons. that's kind of a fact.

are they good reasons?

probably not to most.
