Indeed.

There is no valid reason to murder 8-9-10 year old children.

wants people to forgive HER ?

sounds like there was a shit load more to this than him getting picked on...

I guess she wants to be able to go to Walmart and not get beaten up.

That woman just lost her son both spiritually and physically. This child she loved became an "evil" she cannot comprehend and she cannot reconcile her memories of the child she knew, this person she loved unconditionally, with what happened.

I understand why most folks cannot find compassion for her plight; however (for me) she is not the shooter and I know her grief is massive. That she's able to string words together that make sense in English through this wall of grief is surprising.

She raised the evil POS

I respect your opinion here, but I also have a strong suspicion her parenting will prove a great deal of culpability

As I said, I understand why most folks cannot find compassion for her plight. I hold no ill will for those who think differently. I just know where and why I come to this. So I did my best to explain it.

Thank you, that was beautifully stated.

Perhaps, instead of the first thought... "That woman just lost her son both spiritually and physically." we could lead with, "19 children from 7 years of age to 9 years of age and two adults have tragically lost their lives due to a disturbed individual who had a mother who did not care enough for society to raise her son with the knowledge that it is wrong to murder anyone.

Her grief is overwhelmed by the other 20 lost lives.

Compassion, in this case, is reserved for the other 20 families.

Why they call them mothers

I hold compassion for all of them.

I hold compassion for all of them.

I don’t know the history of this deranged mass-murderer but in many cases, there is no male influence. Teenage boys dominate their mothers.

The moral structure of America is crumbling before our eyes. The far left calls for more gun control while Chicago, with some of the most strict gun laws in America, has some of the highest murder rates in America.

Someone is responsible for this murderer’s home life. Where is the Father?

Again, my priority for compassion is with the victims and their families. The last priority is with the woman who raised the animal.

Very well written.

Yes, one thing the majority of these shooters have in common, is the lack of a strong man in their lives.

Yea..no.

Dylan Roof's father gave him the weapon he used to murder a group of churchgoers.

Same for the kid whose parents went on the run after he committed mass murder.

Not according to NYT ...

I don't know who the other kid was, .... but as I said "the majority". You want to prove that is a false statement, I welcome you to do so.

Before I pass judgement on the mother, I want to know what his home life was like. His upbringing.
If I had an 18 year old who just killed 19 kids for no reason and was killed also, I'd be a fucking
basket case. Her words can easily show anxiety for the victim's families, but also the motherly
protection of a child. At 18, I'm sure she had to give him his privacy, I doubt she had knowledge
of what he was doing on the internet.
But the son-of-a-bitch shot his grandmother, then went to an elementary school and shot everything
that moved. He was unquestionably evil. No sane minded individual could do what he did. Or even think of it.
Did he leave her "tell tale" signs that she ignored?
Or could it be possible she had no knowledge of his dealings?

“Ramos moved from the Hood Street home to his grandmother’s home across town a few months ago, Flores said. He said he last saw the grandmother on Sunday, when she stopped by the Hood Street property, which she also owned. The grandmother told him she was in the process of evicting Ramos’s mother because of her drug problems, Flores said.”

“Multiple people familiar with the family, including Ruben Flores, 41, said Ramos’s mother used drugs, which contributed to the upheaval in the home. Ramos has an older sister. She is serving in the Navy, military officials confirmed Wednesday.”
