i mistrust legislation based on emotion

how about cleaning up the process of putting people (especially the mentally ill) on the do not sell list and requiring background checks for not only all firearms, but also ammunition and clips

also, there needs to be a way to get off of the do not sell list if an error is made

How about restricting crazy people's ability to own guns. How about a database that keeps track of crazy people and attempts to limit "their" access to guns ? While doing so not try to deny any law abiding citizen's right to be armed..

that is one of the purposes of the do not sell list along with felons and terrorists...

how long do you think it takes to run a background check when the list is computerized?

Gun restrictions. Sales and ownership. But that would require a constitutional amendment, which nobody has the moral fortitude to even propose. So they'll dance around and nothing will happen. You can rest easy STY nobody's coming for your guns.

a convicted felon has no rights to a firearm so how can you say no due process?

as for supporting obama, i preferred him to rummy, but he does not have my unconditional support...no politician does

also, if 'king tyrant' is so powerful, then how come he is at odds with the repugs and some dims in congress?

You just said you wanted the "terrorist watch list" to be a do not sell list. That list is NOT due process of law, has no oversight and in many cases no evidence. Also I never said Obama, you have repeatitly stated you wanted a monarchy. That is what I was referring to.

i included the terrorist watch list as a part of the do not sell list and tend to agree with you about it, but we are stuck with it for now

as for the monarchy, i support a constitutional monarchy with the monarch elected at the end of the previous monarch's life and the monarchs sole function is to veto legislation that he/she disagrees with...a bit different from 'king tyrant'
