Hello guno,
INSIDER polled people on alternative uses of the $5.7 billion in border wall funding and most preferred other ideas including infrastructure improvements, covering a half-million Americans' healthcare expenses, and expanded pre-K education.
The only group that supported the wall was conservatives, while border money came in last for moderates and liberals.

That was a loaded question!
"INSIDER asked respondents, "What is the best use of $5.7 billion in federal funding?" and offered four options: "build a portion of a wall along the US-Mexico border," "fund pre-kindergarten programs for every child in the US for a year," "pay the healthcare expenses for roughly 530,000 Americans for a year," and "fund infrastructure improvements." "
First of all, we don't HAVE 5.7 billion dollars. We don't HAVE ANY MONEY. It would all be borrowed. We already spend more than our income. IF we spend anything, it gets tacked directly onto the debt.
So, WHERE in that above question is the option: 'Use the money to reduce the deficit?'
ie: 'Don't spend money we don't have.'
The survey was a loaded question, so it does not represent a majority of American views.
I think there are a heck of a lot of people who think we need to stop spending more than we take in. If we want to spend more, we need to tax the rich more. But we like to protect the rich. We have to shield them from the higher taxation they faced when 'America was great.' But our need for spending continues to rise as our country grows. So we spend more than we take in. As the rich get richer, so does our federal debt grow.
