More Californians than ever want to secede from US

At least Texas has always spoken about being its own country. We're just doing so because we're sore losers over one election.

California has a half a dozen deep blue counties that dominate the rest of the state. Have them secede to Mexico.

Something that's never going to happen? ... you mean the impossible ... like Donald J. Trump becoming the President?

:whoa:

Didn't happen with Texas and they've had secessionist movements forever and especially from the 1990s onward.

Republican messiah Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia stated, "If there was any constitutional issue resolved by the Civil War, it is that there is no right to secede."[SUP][3][/SUP]

For Texas, probably more so because Texas was its own country, at one time.

Sore losers and in shock. I think liberals are extra butthurt because their State Media gods promised them a 200 electoral vote victory for the Hillbag ... a sure thing ... a slam dunk. They are disappointed. Sooooo disappointed. We went from Communism to Capitalism in just one day!

The irony to in California is a small portion of the north eastern part of the state wanted to break away and call itself Jefferson. People in the state used to rip on them for it. Funny how things change. It would be interesting if California seceded would Jefferson secede from CA and be the 50th state?

California deserves their own nation where, at least, their voice will matter. Unlike this nation where they are totally ignored and taken for granted despite being the 8th largest economy in the entire world.

We existed without California in the past. Did quite well in fact.

We existed without flyover country in the past. Why don't we just take away the voting rights of everyone but the original 13 colonies, we don't need flyover country telling us what to do or that they're the real America when we created this fucking country.

We have billions in unfunded liabilities. Who is going to cover that? Who is going to pay all the S.S. and Medicare?

California will pay for their own bills, it'll be cheaper too since they're not subsidizing all the ungreatful taker flyover states. Let the Nazi's pay for their own Medicare.

They do talk a lot about dividing up the State. Of course, quite different than seceding.

Nazi healthcare

" Government-run health care insurance plans were available, but Jews were denied coverage starting in 1933. That same year, Jewish doctors were forbidden to treat government-insured patients. In 1937 Jewish doctors were forbidden to treat non-Jewish patients, and in 1938 their right to practice medicine was removed entirely."

More Californians are now hoping their state secedes from the United States, a new poll shows.

About 32 percent of Californians want to create their own country, a new Reuters/Ipsos poll found, including many Democrats who are frustrated with President Trump’s win. Pollsters surveyed 500 Californians between Dec. 6 and Jan. 19.

Nationally, 22 percent of respondents favor secession, they found.

The movement — dubbed “Calexit” — began after Trump won the 2016 election.

A group of liberal Californians formed the Yes California Independence campaign with the hopes of getting a secession initiative on the state’s 2018 ballot.

When a similar poll was conducted in 2014, about 20 percent of Californians supported secession.

California now has a strong Democratic majority in its state legislature. The state easily gave each of its Electoral College votes to Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton in November.

California Gov. Jerry Brown has also vowed to fight Trump on the president's policies, including climate change.

"We've got the scientists, we've got the lawyers and we're ready to fight," Brown said in a December speech.

He also threatened that California would “launch its own damn satellite” of the Trump administration eliminates NASA’s earth science programs, which gather information on climate change.

"If Trump turns off the satellites, California will launch its own damn satellite," Brown added.

Why wouldn't we? Our economy is huge. We hate your potus. We don't need you. Our economy is bigger than Russia's. Our colleges are the best, we have Silicon Valley, we are the global breadbasket, biotech leader, and the cutting edge of every forward thinking concept in humanity.

We are superior. Our awesomeness is baked in.💪🏽

scalia was wrong on many occasions. and just because the south was denied their right to secede, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. if they make a law banning abortion, do you still have that right?

The Constitution requires retaining the union. President Lincoln had no legal choice: maintain the union.

BUT !!

Do we really need the left coast? Wouldn't we be better off without the liberal malcontents?

California should go to war to force separation from the fascist regime! America is not a free country and California should have loyalty to it! California's loyalty was contingent on America remaining a free nation, not a fascist dictatorship!
