HE'S WHITE

A Massachusetts student accused of raping two unconscious 18-year-olds will not face jail time or have to register as a sex offender.

David Becker was sentenced to two years of probation by a judge who said that his case would be continued without a finding until August 2018.

The 18-year-old will not have to register as a sex offender.

He denied touching one of the young women and thought that what he did to the other victim was fine because she "did not stop" him.

Prosecutors recommended two years in prison after charging him with rape.

One of the victims said that she had heard of Becker assaulting others and being called “David the Rapist.”

“We all made mistakes when we were 17, 18, 19 years old, and we shouldn't be branded for life with a felony offense and branded a sex offender,” Attorney Thomas Rooke said. The lawyer also brought attention to the fact that his client was a three-sport athlete, did community service and wants to go on to have “a college experience.”

Oh. My. God. Judges and attorneys like these are giving the green light to sexual assaulters. I can hardly believe what his attorney said: “We all made mistakes when we were 17, 18, 19 years old, and we shouldn't be branded for life with a felony offense and branded a sex offender,” and brought attention to the fact that his client was a three-sport athlete, did community service and wants to go on to have “a college experience.”

What about the women in this case?

No justice.

You guys should pretend he is a muslime then you can wash those tears away

Maybe his lawyer learned how to get rapists off from Illary Clinton

Don't rain on their parade, he's a white dude lol. They had to wait long for this.

Not that long, little lapdoggy.

Becker’s sentence is not the first to garner national attention for perceived leniency towards a young man accused of sexual assault.

In June former Stanford student Brock Turner was sentenced to six months for sexually assaulting a woman behind a dumpster, which led protesters to call for Judge Aaron Persky’s ouster.

John Enochs, a former student at Indiana University, was accused of sexually assaulting two women at a fraternity house, but is now serving one year’s probation after pleading guilty to "misdemeanor battery".

What would expect his defending counsel to say, that he is banged to rights and they should just throw away the key?

If you guys are really interested, just Google this kid's name. This guy didn't have intercourse with anyone. One victim didn't think he should do jail time. He's on probation for two years, which means no alcohol, and no other problems.

Sure...this kid is probably a shy introvert, and had to wait until these girls passed out before he stuck his finger inside them.

I don't think he should walk away without any punishment. The question is...what should the punishment be?

This isn't, IMO, another 'affluenza' case.

Well at least there is somebody sane on here, they were all at a party and crashed out on the same bed, presumably drunk. He didn't rape either of the women but attempted to finger one and squeezes the breasts of the other. They were both 18 years old and there was no violence. Why is this such big news when a deaf man in North Carolina was gunned by a trigger happy cop within seconds because he attempted to use sign language?

If you have something to say Twatsky then say to me, not to Trollop, you effing coward!!

You sound like Tom defending Adam Johnson.

It truly baffles me why so much attention is paid to something like this, when a deaf driver was shot dead by a North Carolina traffic cop because he tried to use sign language. You are bloody odd lot over there.

Both stories involve issues that have become increasingly common. There's a thread about the NC shooting here, and it made the news. Some of us are almost numb over cop shootings, they're happening with such regularity.

I would expect him to say the minimum required, or something like "my client realizes he was wrong and is sorry." Instead he implies that the kid's life would have been ruined by the victim.
