Federal law defers to the definition of burglary in the host state but carries much harsher penalties...
 
Word is from locals that although the original rally had as many as 300 supporters for the arsonist ranchers only about 15 armed protesters followed Bundy to the refuge building.
They were surprised that Bundy's people were claiming as many as ten times that number.

What we have here is a handful of greedy marginal ranchers who want to graze their cattle on government land for free rather than pay the $1.35 per head per day the government asks.
There are about 16,000 American ranchers who graze animals on BLM lands and all but a few pay the fee without problems.
This what these ranchers are calling "tyranny".
Bundy's plan is to rile up the militia movement across the country so he can force the government to allow he and a handful of his friends to graze their cattle for free. The Hammond's trial and sentencing was a ploy to get local militia riled up to take part in Bundy's long standing plan to take over the refuge center's building for his own greed.
His failure came when the Hammonds decided to go to jail rather than take part in Bundy's planned stand off.
Just a few marginal nuts with greed guns and grazing...not a revolutionary war by any means.

As I said, it is called civil disobedience. Often the intruders lock themselves to items so they cannot be removed, if they are unarmed. It is protest, but can quickly turn into a debacle. It is illegal though. They can and will be arrested and are not protected by the 1st Amendment. The idea that they are "terrorists" at this point is absurd though. Clearly they aren't terrorists. Unlike a homegrown terror attack, like Tim McVeigh, they did not indiscriminately kill people in order to attempt to intimidate an entire populace.

These greedy goons are too mundane to be called terrorists... I now agree.
After doing a little research I have found that they are opportunists that want to leverage the anger and distrust in government militias have, to their own financial advantage.
Common greedy criminals manipulating marginal angry people for their use.

That's a "solution" full of ugly. Easier to let them in and wait them out. Seriously, a small enough Federal Building that nobody cares about it will not end our government. Just don't let anybody leave without an arrest. We have all the time in the world on our side of things, they are limited and will wind up regretting their action and will lose without much of a fight once they become hungry and tired.
