Mike Huckabee slams pregnant Natalie Portman

I'm confused - other righties on the thread have said that he wasn't "calling out" Portman. Was he, or not?
I doubt he was, and I don't particularly care... But Jarod's question was "Why didn't he call out Bristol?" I answered that.

I never vilified her, neither did any Democratic Presidental Canidates.....

And Portman is being vilified by Conservative presidental canidates.
Vilified? Now I have to read his statement. I gotta see this vilification for myself.

Phew! I can't tell you what a relief that is, he who should not be posting. I don't use a 40-post page. I knew you couldn't read very well, but PMP's words are pretty clear; I figured even you could get that. He pretty clearly said that Huckabee was not singling out Portman - that his comments were about the media. Try again.

And it's the usual hilarity how you ignored the one part of my response that you realized you got busted on....

? busted...for what? you're the one who claimed more than one....which we have now established is not true. i did read pages two and three of a 40 post page and it was not there. maybe next time you should be clear....oh wait....you could have not wasted so much time bitching and whining and simply provided the post.

but most of us all know you're here to attack, insult and bitch...you are good at it though, i'll give you that

Huckleberry never had a chance even before this, chiefly because thankfully the Majority of Americans still understand the 1st Amendmend. Huckleberry does not!
This makes no sense. I haven't heard of Huckabee going off against the First Amendment. What are you blathering about?

1) I belive Michelle Obama looks great and has a healthy looking body.

2) She never said that Americans should not eat a plate of ribs from time to time.
1.) I agree.
2.) The ribs she ate were cooked specifically to be 'lighter'. They are cooked to allow all the fat to run off. Each 4 Oz serving was only about 600 Calories rather than the 1500 expected from a normal plate of ribs slathered with BBQ sauce.

I think that Michelle is doing exactly what a First Lady should. Choosing a cause and working with it. She's very out there, commercials on kids channels, etc. She's doing a fine job as First Lady.

Charver, where you been you freak? Whazzup?

Sorry, Damo, i've just been up to other stuff recently.

(Although, i haven't been fooling around with any other sites behind your back if that makes you feel any better.)

I'll try to come around a bit more often though.

Excellent...

I hope that means you are making money and winning like Charlie Sheen.

Well, i'm not making enough money and i haven't access to a live in porn star but i have recently been fired, am in withdrawal and am currently being ridiculed in several newspapers.

Still, it was a good night.

Well you got it half right then. I hear twitter is paying addicts to withdrawal publicly. Just tell them you are on a drug, it's called "Charlie Sheen" and you're in like Flynn. It worked for a chap out here... Some dude named Carlos Estevez.

I don't trust them Mexicans. Coming over there and taking the jobs of American actors.

I actually think i have snorted some Charlie Sheen but suspect is was heavily cut with large amounts of Lindsay Lohan.

PMP comes readily to mind.

and should more often......was Portman the one glamorizing her pregnancy or was it the media?......obviously it was also the media that chose to focus on Bristol Palin's pregnancy.......when she did use that to speak out, it certainly wasn't to glamorize her own situation, nor was that the intent of the media.....the fact you've had to resort to trying to divide the opposition shows that you've no basis for actual argument any more.....

My position on this issue is this:

Its not the place for presidental canidates to be commenting on procreation choices of the people. The president should not be involved in judgements about such family matters, it is an issue that is none of the governments business and deciding morals for Americans should be avoided.

It seems to be the only thing social conservatives care about doing.

I actually don't know, and I don't really care. However saying, "Why didn't he say this about Bristol?" was really kinda silly, the girl is actively speaking against the experience. It's really like asking why he didn't call out the Tea Party for promoting higher taxes.

I think pulling a Dan Quayle like this probably isn't going to do his campaign any good. His book is a stinker, maybe he'll not even run.

Sure, kudos to her now for actively speaking against the experience. She wasn't talking abstinence before the pregnancy, was she?

She had teenage thinking that it couldn't happen to her when she got pregnant at 17. Luckily her mom's connections and money mean she won't be getting AFDC or food stamps but that's not the usual for teenage moms.

DUMO: I think pulling a Dan Quayle like this probably isn't going to do his campaign any good.

No, it doesn't do his campaign much good when conservatives join liberals in superfluous judgmental nit picking over something he said. I guess the idea is to help the liberals destroy all the social conservative candidates, so the Republicans can only nominate some godless libertarian fucktard who doesn't understand conservative philosophy? That's fine, Dumo... enjoy another 4 years of Obama, because someone like you want is not going to get elected. Sorry, just not going to happen... there is a reason libertarians can't get more than 2% of the vote, and it's not because they aren't conservative.

I am glad you are revealing your true colors here! Now we know, you are going to do everything you can to help liberals smear and slime anyone who speaks of moral values. You and Neil Bortz are going to successfully kill any chance of having a candidate who appeals to 80% of the conservative base, who are socially conservative. You're going to see to it we get some agnostic atheistic piece of shit who doesn't have the common decency to stand for human life, or speak up for traditional marriage, and if that results in another 4 years of Obama Socialism, so be it... that's obviously more preferable to you than having a president who happens to believe in "Jebus!"

I'm definitely fuzzy on what y'all mean by "glamorizing." First of all, Portman is engaged, so is what I would call reporting on her pregnancy "glamorizing" single motherhood or something? And how would Portman possibly "glamorize" her pregnancy...being happy about it? Should an engaged mother-to-be wring her hands and show a lot of angst for the masses?

As for Bristol, I certainly remember a "Bristol & her baby!" People cover story; it was as "glamorized" as Portman's, if you guys want to keep using that word so freely....

Godless? Godless? What canidates, please tell me, are Godless?

lol, if you don't understand what he meant by the word, why are you criticizing Hucklebee for using it.....obviously Portman couldn't and didn't glamorize her own pregnancy, nor could Palin.....that's why it's obvious Hucklebee wasn't speaking of her......he was speaking of the media, and I think it should be obvious that the media speaks of Portman's pregnancy in a completely different way than they did of Palin's.....

Again - is the media reporting on a happy, engaged mother-to-be somehow "glamorizing" something that shouldn't be "glamorized"?

What's the issue here?
