The whole court is run by partisan hacks now. That's not just me saying that - the majority of Americans see the court as highly politicized and activist for the right-wing.
As far as the judiciary, it's over now. The extreme right-wing will own SCOTUS for a generation. But it will cost the GOP in future elections (you can post as many laughing emojis as you want for that one, but they are WAY out of step w/ the mainstream, and it will be an issue in every single campaign).
