Members of Congress that have student loans to pay off...

And, if they are married they and have no other significant income, they are below $250,000.

So to even possibly qualify, they have to have no other income, and a spouse with no debt. Even then, there is only a possibility, but it is highly unlikely. The best shot is if they have an income of less than $75k, or a joint income of less than $150k, which none of them have.

Congress always votes on things they may be affected by.

True.

But those that have honor should exclude themselves from any direct, financial benefit they gain from said vote (outside of general, taxation rate changes).

Especially if they are one time bonuses...like this is.

I highlighted AOC (the rest of "The Squad" has loans too) because she's being quite vocal about upping the amount more at the moment. Can you say, quid pro quo?

Tu quoque fallacy. If she does, then she should pay them back.

So should they all. And we're not talking about $10 or $20 thousand here.

Don't forget that Democrats got them too, only difference is that few Democrats in Congress own any sort of personal business and instead got theirs through spouses and relatives that run businesses. That doesn't even include that both Republican and Democrat political organizations got them as well.

It was hardly one-sided, and all that money should be paid back too.

Maybe you can tell us why millionaires like Jared Kushner's family, Tom Brady, Kanye West, Khloe Kardashian, Reese Witherspoon and others got millions in PPP loans intended for small businesses, then had their loans forgiven.
