Meanwhile, Gorsuch gets confirmed

He is not evil, I have read many of his opinions, he is a solid thinker who attaches his opinions to real constitutional theories based in solid reasoning. I disagree with much of his opinions but he is a real juris. He will make decisions that are not popular with his base that are legally valid, if he behaves like he did in the past. Mostly he will be conservative. Not always. He is an improvement on Scalia who would always please the base by forcing his Conservatism onto any set of facts.

Gorsuch sees the Constitution in a very conservative light, and is different than Scalia who was a Conservative who saw the Constitution as a tool to promote his conservatism.

And just in time too,

A couple of hot button cases being brought before the courts,
America can get back to common sense decisions based on the constitution, and not ideology

Making America Great again, one step at a time, Having Trump as Commander - in - chief is looking better than I even imagined

I am very glad he's confirmed but remains to be seen if using the nuclear option will be a good strategy long term

Representation Is a Re-Presentation of Medieval OligarchicTyranny

Filibustering is obnoxiously childish and shows how worthless a representative government is. These political elitists go in-your-face with that tactic, implying "We can be as stupid, disorderly, and bratty as we want, and you, the people, can't do anything about it. Hah, hah!"

Suppose someone here made one post after another and tied down the board for 24 hours. Would we allow that? Maybe we would if we have become thoroughly conditioned by this anti-democratic form of government, which turns us all into serfs.

Regardless of your political affiliation, can we agree that federal judges should have term limits just like everyone else? We should definitely amend certain parts of the constitution so that it's more appropriate for modern times. I mean, the average life expectancy when it was written was 35-40 years of age.

I say a 6 year term limits should do. Thoughts?

Did the right win every SCOTUS vote under Bush and Obama when they had a makeup similar as now? No.

Don't think any SCOTUS follows their political party's agenda all the time. See: Gay marriage.
