You need to understand that the whole country with the exception of the crazed teabagger faction, is working together to bring Trump down and save the country. It doesn't matter the degree of Trump's guilt, they will succeed. And they will almost certainly be able to do it without resorting to the Kennedy solution.

Not to suggest anything is off the table.

Completely laying all the blame of Russian collusion at Manafort’s feet and painting Trump as a hero for getting rid of Manafort when he “discovered” that Manafort was a thug.

Only problem with that is the timelines of what Trump did with the information and the meeting in Trump Tower do not add up.

Lewandowski has just written a book about Trump's embedded enemies.. LOLOL No doubt.. Most in the WH are fed up with Trump's temper tantrums and stupidity.
 
Trump's secret service protection could be more loyal to their country than to Trump?

The timing for Manafort's report is about right now. It will precede or coincide with Trump declaring his intentions. And personally I would suggest that it could be offered to Trump behind the scenes in order to give him an excuse to withdraw. Saving the country is more important to the CIA, FBI, etc., than a political show of victory by either party.

But I don't think Trump has as much class as Nixon.
