After signing the plea agreement, Manafort committed federal crimes by lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Counsel’s Office on a variety of subject matters, which constitute breaches of the agreement,” Mueller’s team wrote.

The special counsel did not provide specifics on what Manafort allegedly lied about or what evidence they have about it. But the filing’s specific mention of crimes suggests that Manafort may be hit with yet more charges.

Is Manafort still expecting a Trump pardon?

Doubtful, why would even Manaford believe him now, but can see it is possible

Probability is Manaford, like so many of them, having been lying their entire life, and he thought lying would bail him out again, guess he is learning Mueller knows more than Manaford thought he knew
 
INteresting timing.... As soon as Rump turned in his interrogatories, Mueller showed his cards by letting the world know he knew Manafort had been lying.
 
The goal isn't to punish Manafort. He's already been defanged and made not applicable.

Trump will be taken down when the Republicans are ready to take him down and Mueller's report will give them the justification they need. It's either that or their party will be annihilated in the 2020 election.

The timing for Manafort's report is about right now. It will precede or coincide with Trump declaring his intentions. And personally I would suggest that it could be offered to Trump behind the scenes in order to give him an excuse to withdraw. Saving the country is more important to the CIA, FBI, etc., than a political show of victory by either party.

You know shit is getting real when Trump has his 2nd rate lackey go on MSM to make Manafort the fall guy.

Completely laying all the blame of Russian collusion at Manafort’s feet and painting Trump as a hero for getting rid of Manafort when he “discovered” that Manafort was a thug.

Only problem with that is the timelines of what Trump did with the information and the meeting in Trump Tower do not add up.
 
It seems like a sign of strength on Mueller’s part. Clearly he thinks he has enough evidence to prove Manafort was lying, And is willing to blow the agreement up, meeting he doesn’t need Manafort’s testimony.
