Man gets life in prison after 10th DUI conviction

No wonder you hate Ralph Nader.

He was an idiot, his book was a lie, and he ruined the opportunity for the US to have an affordable car with an air cooled engine.
I owned several and even one of the vans and they were dependable, quick, fuel efficient, and safe as hell.

The corvair was a good car. Crook and entertainer Ralph Nader made a career from slamming it.

He later retracted his assessment; but by that time, it was too late.

The pancake 110 motor was strong and reliable.
The only problem I ever had, was if the seals on the fuel pump failed, it dumped gas into the oil pan.
Easily solved by buying a cover plate and installing an electric fuel pump.
The independent suspension was great.

I'm just stunned that he got to 10 in any capacity. I mean, at some point around offense #4, he probably lost his license indefinitely, and all subsequent offenses were turning into major felonies. You would think that somewhere around 6-7 he's doing a few years in prison...
