Some tech companies are laying people off, but tech still has a huge shortage of people, so that is not that bad. Everyone I know who quit or was laid off from Twitter has found a new job, paying more.
The stupidest thing Musk did was cut perks, and insult people. It created an environment where the best left and got better paying jobs elsewhere. He is left with some employees who are too desperate to quit, but they are the dregs of the company. He should take the $14 billion offer. It is a $30 billion loss, but most of the loss is in debt that sticks with the company. Twitter still has value, and he could still walk away with something... A year from now, probably not.
An investigation started by Obama, ended by trump, and started again by Biden. The problem with putting people in prison is that the investigation was dead for four years. Scharf rightly points out that he had nothing to do with Wells Fargo at the time of the crimes, and actually asked trump to restart the investigation.
The American economy is very consumer centric. An economy based on war would have more military production in its economy. You would just see soldiers and weapons everywhere. It is a totally different feel to everything.
