laws CAN change, constitutions do NOT get reinterpreted, nor would you WANT them to be. to even intimate that this is possible leaves everything open for reinterpretation and THAT, I do not believe you want.
 
This is the funny part of the gun nut's case. When people introduce rational legislation, they scream bloody murder. The 2nd amendment doesn't say anything about registration and there's no way you can construe that as true.

This is long overdue.

i hope the Dems do indeed make this legislation into law... It will quickly end their total control over the government in 2010.

I hope this goes through and Obama signs it... this is something independants can get behind so we can throw a lot of these democrats out.

constitutions do NOT get reinterpreted, however, bad decisions from the past should ALWAYS be overturned.

yes, I can think of many in the past that were horrible, but we shouldn't use that precedent to just erase parts of the constitution we don't like.

wrongs should indeed be righted.

true...i don't think heller will be overturned...the majority ruling was quite clear in individual rights concerning guns. hopefully the supreme court will be guided by the principle of stare decisis and not overturn this ruling unless there are new laws or facts that somehow make an interpretation of individual rights incorrrect.

the review was exhaustive and it was found by overwhelming evidence that the second amendment meant -- individual rights to own guns. you don't like it, but to simply claim the executive and legislative branch can overturn that ruling by pakcing the court or putting in new judges is pissing on the constitution.

i suggest you research stare decisis and how it works. then again, i doubt you care as you have no respect for our form of government.

like i said before, you liberals need to watch out who you're pissing off. It's not the republicans that you need worry about, but the millions of people in the middle who don't claim a political camp.

and yes, if it came down to it and the feds started coming for guns, i'm going after everyone that supported taking my guns.
