Have you noticed that neither you nor Reagan have asked "build what?" or have suggestions that would neutralize the "glorification" while preserving the history? The reason is because you two are no better than Trump's Qless idiots who want to destroy our democracy because they don't like the views of others.

Building is always better than destroying in situations like this. Everyone loses by destroying history.

Put the statue of Lee in a museum where it belongs and not imposing over American blacks that want symbolized oppression gone. Idolatry for such things is depraved in a society such as ours. If you think back to how people felt about a Muslim center or mosque near ground zero, it carries the same weight here.

It took me much too long--I'm actually embarrassed about it if we're being honest--to finally realize for sure that discourse with Oom [Dutch Oven] was an inexcusable and indefensible waste of time.

Agreed. Nonetheless an example of why erasing historical sites is a bad idea. Better to build around them.

What will Charlottesville replace those with? Flowers? A water fountain? What can be learned from those?
