Most of us held our noses and voted for Hillary, though not really trusting her either.

Many of us just couldn't stand anything Clinton.

Anyway, don't expect anything from Detroit in the near future. It has become a squatter's paradise, however.

Urban renewal is happening in Houston. I attended a house warming the other night and the neighborhood was built in the 1940's. There was a delapidated home next to a ultra modern three story condo unit! It was very interesting. Investors are buying up the old homes, giving the homeowners a better deal on their homes because they can construct one of these units and make a hefty profit. I spoke at length with one of the developers. He was a young 30's something kid, very impressive.

I get it. But if someone who is a not a Democrat and is a socialist could vote for Hillary how could more not do the same vis a vis how bad Trump is?

how does this square with your position of the 'left' and the democrats at odds? or was I correct in saying the left is plain comfortable with being controlled because It's better than the right?

I watched a feature by the Young Turks about how Colin Kaepernick is following through with his activism, donating his salary and money made from his jerseys into Detroit and other areas. Funny, I haven't seen any of this reported on msm after they maligned him for taking a knee. He is actually doing something!

Every big city has its urban blight, Houston just has money to help it along due to its oil which in turn has attracted other industries. The weather is also preferable to Detroit, and Buffalo :)
