Everybody hated Bush at the time. Tht alone did not produce Obama.

The party took a self-induced beating. Everything about the way Obama produced his healthcare plan was wrong .. which is not to suggest that republicans should have been included in it. Obamacare is a product of the uber conservative Heritage Foundation.

Point being, Trump is the slap in the face that democrats have badly needed.

Yes it's going to be ugly .. and good for this nation.

Yes Detroit and Baltimore are hemoraging population but Charlotte, Atlanta, Dallas, NY, SF, LA etc are all growing. Millenials aren't moving to rustic areas they are moving to urban centers

On this side of the world we see LGBT people as humans. This particular group of humans have supported Holiday her entire career. Without the support of this particular group of humans, there may not have been a successful Jennifer Holliday career, with a net worth of 12 million.

I repeat a truth that you're not hearing good brother. By the time their administration was over, everybody hated Bush/Cheney .. and for very good reasons. Time has revealed that Cheney was more the devil than George Bush. Time has made me an admirer of George Bush, though not of most of his politics and character during his time in office.

Why do democrats fight for Obamacare? Because it's better than nothing. It's what I called it when it was passed .. better than nothing .. but a long ass way from what could have been achieved. But Obama is a corporatist first and foremost.

Not sure that when republicans turned against Bush is as important as the fact that they did .. which led directly to the rise of anti-establishment republicans .. leading to Donald Trump.

Democrats and the Left hate Trump more than they hated George Bush .. and Trump isn't even in office yet.

Baltimore is a shithole..dumping ground for the mid-Atlantic poor. It's virtually ungovernable.

I'm glad I grew up there when it was actually Charm city- it had a tax base, and the geography and culture were superb.
After the MLK riots it went to hell ( for various reasons)

I would assume Detroit did a lot of the same -I know both cities have a lot of abandoned housing now (urban blight)
