Lets not forget about Mike Dukakis...

Dukakis was an awful candidate,

How so? At the time, before his challenge to the media, he was being hailed as a JFK. :palm:

wasn’t much of a stellar field of Democrats running that year, plus the Willie Horton campaign hit exactly when the party realignment was peaking

So are you saying that an OLD, WHITE, UNACCOMPLISHED dude who can't remember what he said yesterday and has done nothing after 51 years in Government is a stellar choice?

This election is far from over, every election comes closer as Election Day approaches, even 2016 although Trumpkins like to remember it differently, three months out is an eternity in politics

In 2016 right up to the election Hillary was projected as a HUGE winner.

Pay attention to the dates:

Hillary Clinton will be elected president
Frank Luntz on Twitter, November 8, 2016: “Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States.”

Washington Post’s The Daily 202, November 3, 2016: “College-educated white women are Hillary Clinton’s firewall.”

Kyle Kondik in Politico Magazine, November 3, 2015: “Carson and Trump, through their lack of experience and long histories of overheated rhetoric … could even prompt a wholesale rejection of the Republicans in certain districts down the ticket, effectively making 2016 a Democratic wave year.”

LOL, then what is 'fairly unknown'? I'm sure there's some partisan political point you're trying to make with your argument but it's pretty stupid saying Bush Sr. was fairly unknown compared to anyone.

Let's analyse the OP.
At this point, in his race against Bush, Sr., he was 8 points ahead, he lost by 8 points.

There are reasons this year is likely to be very different**... but don't lose sight of this possibility.

** That was not a race against a sitting presidnet.
People were less divided and more willing to change back then.
GHWB and Dukakis were fairly unknown compared to Biden and Trump.

I see no point in it even without the "fairly unknown" part. Maybe he was practicing his keyboard skills?

Here's what I practiced when taking typing in h s. :

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

Trump was acquitted is this news to you?

Aquitted Synonyms :
absolution
clearing
exoneration

Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) said on NBC's "Meet the Press" that he believes President Trump withheld military aid to Ukraine to "encourage" its government to investigate the Bidens, but that he will vote to acquit Trump on Wednesday because he believes the consequences of the president's actions should be decided in the next election

Right. The trial does not establish whether the president committed the actions he was accused of. It is only a vote to remove or not remove the president.
