At this point, in his race against Bush, Sr., he was 8 points ahead, he lost by 8 points.

There are reasons this year is likely to be very different**... but don't lose sight of this possibility.

** That was not a race against a sitting presidnet.
People were less divided and more willing to change back then.
GHWB and Dukakis were fairly unknown compared to Biden and Trump.

Was Dukakis impeached as President like Trump? No.

GHWB was fairly unknown in 1988 after being in Congress, Head of the CIA and Reagan's VP for eight years? Can't say I've heard that argument before.

Dukakis was an awful candidate, wasn’t much of a stellar field of Democrats running that year, plus the Willie Horton campaign hit exactly when the party realignment was peaking

This election is far from over, every election comes closer as Election Day approaches, even 2016 although Trumpkins like to remember it differently, three months out is an eternity in politics

Here’s trivia for you, Bush was the first incumbent VP to be elected in over a hundred years, 1836 with the election of Van Buren, bet you never thought of that one

After running the country for about 6 years? I beg to differ. He was a gosh-awful globalist evil POS, and the trend continued up until Trump.

They had Reagan shot so Bush could run things.

Was Dukakis a 77 year old racist pervert

No, I don't recall Dukakis inviting a porn star up to his hotel room then while said porn star was in the bathroom taking off all his clothes and sitting on the bed to surprise the porn star so she would have sex with him all while his third wife was pregnant with his fifth child. No, that wasn't Dukakis. You must be thinking of the racist pervert Trump who said of white nationalists that there were "good people on both sides."

I was unaware of that. That's good info. Still doesn't take away that I've never heard the argument that Bush Sr. was essentially some unknown when he was running in 1988.

The Tank Picture.
Refusing to go capital punishment if someone raped n killed his missus.

That's more than a gaffe, that's a general policy failure. String that criminal up by the nuts! Apparently Americans didn't like his soft approach.

Thx for the info. :)

You know..speedy public hanging for violent rapes, violent robberies, and pedos and murderers needs to make a comeback in America.
